The dangers of the portal sometimes. Tough balancing act between staying young and stockpiling depth while fixing what's currently broken.

I could be wrong but I think what gogeta was hinting at is not that the portal players are going to scare him away, its that Miami paid a **** ton for guys in the portal to shore up CB recruiting. Usually kids graduate early and move up a class when a school is pushing them to do it. Here, it is very unlikely Miami pushed for this reclassification because we just spent a ton on the portal and some guys will be gone next year.

If we had all year to work on Flowers and playing time and more resources its easier but some other team likely pushed him to reclassify and we are having to play catch up.

I know CB recruiting was this past year and between the portal and recruiting we pretty much nailed it (especially if we get JRock)

So it seems like we will be light on numbers this year so would be nice to put our resources into just a couple of elite players

this and the same schools are tellin em hey they brought in like 4 portal corners as well.

Yall know how crooting goes.

We have a real good recruiting coach and the db coaches appear to be good recruiters as well....but you have to sell sell sell to get him int he fold.

I want him in the class cause i like his toughness, speed, and return ability i like guys with his make up in a db room (fiesty) im sure Belichek sees Asante Samuel in JROCK which is why he is on him tough

Give me Seatbelt, Portis, and 1 elite trait guy.

Agreed. Figure with Seatbelt and Portis seemingly in the fold we can focus on just a couple of good ones

Good spot to be in with some of the portal guys having multiple years
