We get both tomorrow... don't ask me how I know, I just do. Will reveal my sauces after they announce
UF had the 5th ranked defense in the country. They were ranked 2nd against the pass. So all this talk about a kid wanting to play in the scheme Diaz runs is pointless. Not only do kids rarely notice **** like that, but even if they did, it wouldn't currently be in our favor. UF is very solid on defense and they might send two CB's to the NFL in the 1st round. That's reallllllly hard to recruit against.
We had a CB go in the 1st round but it wasn't under Richt's staff so we can't even use that to our advantage right now. It's alllll good. We've got Diaz running the right scheme and we're pulling in enough defensive talent to change the national perception of Miami defense. Plenty of the guys we have on defense right now will go early in the draft and we're adding more NFL caliber DB's via recruiting. Soon we'll be able to pull that "NFL card" routinely.

While you're pumping up UF you should note they lost their DC and that McEltooth had nothing to do with bringing in the DBs who did well there.

Great. Hopefully the recruits know that.
Theie new DB coach has placed a lot of kids in the NFL at VT.
Kam Chancellor is one of his guys and they have that DBU thing going on.
Hard to recruit against UF at DB right now.
Nah...It's really not that many...10 drafted in 12 years at VT, and only 1 first rounder...This angle is straight BS. A lot of teams, no matter who their coach was can claim a similar number. **** Miami, even during dark years, with a bunch of jakkoff DB coaches have the same number, but with 5 first rounders.
Not saying Gray's resume isn't decent, but it's not enough to deem him the messiah of dbs or sway a decision. Rumph did wonders this year with what was SUPPOSED to be the team's biggest weakness.
Yes gators have had some great db in recent years, but this Gray cat has only been there 1 year, and the numbers above prove he's being overhyped. Nice hire, some db guru? Nah.
This is the university of Miami. This isn't Sacramento state, this isn't Idaho. There isn't time for a learning curve at this level. That isn't rumphs fault for taking a job he is not qualified for, it is richts fault for offering it to him.Because he's going to give him one year to learn some lessons and improve
If we lose all four head-to-head DB battles against a program like UF, how is Rumph going to improve next year when vying for better DBs (Jobe/Campbell/Surtain/Hall) against powerhouses like Bama and Clemson?
Because he is young and that's what coaches do...They learn. Not to mention he has another chance to continue the job he did on the field last season. And a wider net to cast from
Some of that Florida hall (Davis, Edwards) may be safeties as well...So it's not all on Rumph.
If he doesn't pull in the top db class in the country next season he must be fired. If he is not, we need to worry more about richt than we already are.
Sometimes, kids make decisions based on what they want to do. Not based on some adult flirting with them.
Y'all seriously act like this is the recruiting part of a dynasty mode in NCAA Football. Like these are actual human beings doing whatever they want no matter the school's proximity and next season's depth chart.

No kidding. As much as I despise the Gators their current reputation around here is bizarro world. It's like the mocking started when they struggled offensively against Massachusetts in the opener and nobody bothered to acknowledge all the defensive strengths. Florida led the nation in allowing fewest touchdown passes at 8, and they were the only team in the country with twice as many interceptions as touchdown passes (8-16). Contrast to the Canes who were almost exactly the opposite, surrendering 17 touchdown passes with only 8 picks.
The Gators allowed an extremely low completion percentage at 45.1 (second nationally to Michigan) while Miami was mediocre at 58.7.
BTW, the 45.1% that Florida allowed was so fantastic it would have led the nation in any of the previous 10 seasons. Michigan put together a surreal pass defense season while allowing only 43.6%. Pass defense is my favorite category. There have been seasons with tremendous YPA defense like Alabama with the all-time freakish 4.3 in 2011, but nobody has even threatened that 43.6% from Michigan this year.
The commentators have actually been overly reserved or unknowing regarding Florida's recent pass defense excellence. You hear more about it in scouting circles than during the telecasts.

Thanks for being such an ardent and devoted Canes fan by posting stats in here that are anti-UM.
It's not as if ANY of our recruits or their families read this board. You're just helping the enemy out.
Plus Gayturd fans spy on our board and will repost **** like this on their boards and also on social media.
Some of you guys gotta think before you porst.
Unfukkenbelievable!

Everything he said was accurate.
Is this supposed to be a UM propaganda site? Where it's all sunshine and daisies for us but dark clouds and gloom for other programs?

What an odd way to put it. No one says to glorify our program 24/7. But at the same point, they played a pathetic schedule. ACC is the most dominant league in CFB today. Balance of offense and defense. No need to suck off UF on a Miami thread... especially when they play in one of the most offensively deprived leagues in CFB.
