Totally agree. No way he's coming to Miami. Besides the Lingard factor, he has 2 kids and mentioned he wanted to be close to his children. He said, “It’s way too far, it would take me a whole day to get home, and I got two kids." That was the main reason for decommitting from Oregon. Gainesville is less than 2 hours away.

Given the season they had and the one we had, I just don't see it. We're going to get played on NSD. If you want to make your signing a splash, you have to have some legit schools on the table. I expect Miami, Florida, and UGA to be on the table come NSD. He's going to Florida.

We didn't pass on anyone waiting for Avantae, so why are fans so salty about the staff making a last push for him? You only want the staff to recruit kids who triple promise to sign with Miami? That hasn't worked out too well either. No reason not to try. Also, why assume that just because Lingard left that Williams won't be interested- because they are cousins? You have finite resources once you see you’ve done all you could and realize he’s playing you you move on to someone else.

Most fans that follow recruiting are well aware of the efforts to recruit Williams so most aren’t going to be upset with the staff even if he says the BS they didn’t show me love.

Everyone would’ve Lol’d has Jobe said some stuff like that.

Now if a five star that we weren’t tracking comes out and said I wish the staff would have reached out more then I can see the criticism.
