4-STAR DB MARKEITH WILLIAMS
Contenders: Ohio State, Alabama and Florida
Markeith Williams is the nation's No. 14-ranked safety. The Orlando Evans ballhawk put the Buckeyes, Crimson Tide and Gators on his short list of favorites back in early January. While Williams appears to be in no rush to make a commitment, and has relayed to 247Sports that all three schools are running even right now, local intel suggests that Ohio State might be in the best spot out of anyone to eventually land a signature from Williams. The lanky defender has totaled 208 tackles and 13 interceptions in 29 varsity games.
4-STAR CB EARL LITTLE
Contenders: LSU, Alabama, Miami and Florida
Earl Little Jr. is a UM legacy, but it's Ed Orgeron's Tigers that have long led on the 247Sports' Crystal Ball for the talented cornerback out of Plantation American Heritage. While Little continues to speak highly of LSU, it sounds like the Crimson Tide have picked up contact in the recruitment and could very well end up emerging as the team to beat down the stretch. The Hurricanes are also heavily involved with new assistant coaches Travaris Robinson and DeMarcus Van Dyke pushing for the nation's No. 12-ranked corner.
4-STAR DL KENYATTA JACKSON
Contenders: Ohio State, Clemson, Miami, Oklahoma, Alabama and Oregon
Kenyatta Jackson has been a force out on the edge the past two seasons for Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna Prep. The nation's No. 6-ranked weak-side defensive end holds over 30 scholarship offers. While he has yet to really trim things down, those inside his camp believe that the Buckeyes and Tigers might have a leg up on everyone else at the moment. It's hard to really handicap which way Jackson might be leaning, but some do think that his personality fits in at Clemson. Don't, however, sleep on Ohio State.
4-STAR LB WESLEY BISSAINTHE
Contenders: Miami, FSU and Alabama
Wesley Bissainthe is a new-age linebacker at Miami Central that can play all three downs given his coverage skills. He has long been a priority for Manny Diaz and the nearby by Hurricanes. While Miami has done a nice job of recruiting Bissainthe to date, the nation's No. 8 ranked outside linebacker has made it clear in recent weeks that he will get to Tallahassee at some point this spring. Bissainthe also recently told 247Sports that he's hoping to earn an offer from Georgia. The Crimson Tide could push at any moment.
4-STAR DL MARVIN JONES
Contenders: FSU, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma, Oregon, West Virginia and Miami
Marvin Jones Jr. has ties to the Seminoles as his father played at FSU before a lengthy career in the NFL. While the Plantation American Heritage pass rusher released a top 10 roughly a month ago, this recruitment appears to be pretty wide open. It wouldn't be surprising to see Jones tour both Tuscaloosa and Athens once things open up. The nation's No. 5-ranked weak-side defensive end has also made it seem like he wants to visit Oklahoma and Oregon at some point during the process. West Virginia is where his half-brother goes to school.
4-STAR QB AJ DUFFY
Contenders: Arizona State, Oregon, Miami, Penn State and Michigan State
AJ Duffy recently transferred into IMG Acadmey from Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde. He's tentatively scheduled to announce a commitment on March 31 and multiple people connected to the recruitment, including boots on the ground in Bradenton, believe that he will pick the Sun Devils. The nation's No. 5-ranked pro-style passer visited a number of schools on his own during the NCAA's temporary dead period, but he seems to like the staff that Herm Edwards has assembled at Arizona State more than others.
4-STAR OL JULIAN ARMELLA
Contenders: FSU, Miami, Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, Clemson and Florida
Julian Armella keeps trimming his list of schools down. His father played for the Seminoles, but he has probably spent more time in Coral Gables than anywhere else. While the Miami Columbus offensive lineman could very well end up signing with an in-state school, one well-placed source recently told 247Sports that they believe Armella wants to leave home for college and for a variety of different reasons. That could end up being good news for one of the SEC programs listed above. Armella is the nation's No. 14-ranked offensive tackle prospect.
5-STAR DB KAMARI WILSON
Contenders: Alabama, Texas, Miami, Florida, LSU and South Carolina
Kamari Wilson started at IMG Academy as a junior. He recently wrote on Twitter that a commitment could be coming soon, but sources close to him have indicated that his recruitment will likely go the distance. The nation's No. 2-ranked safety has talked up a variety of different schools throughout the process, but seems to mention Alabama, Texas, Miami and Florida on a more consistent basis than others. While Wilson might not have an outright leader, one college staff does think that the Crimson Tide might be out in front.
5-STAR DL GABRIEL BROWNLOW-DINDY
Contenders: Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Clemson and Florida
Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy is an explosive interior defensive lineman. Many believe that there's a very good chance that the nation's No. 3-ranked defensive tackle will be a Sooner seeing as how both of his parents graduated from OU, but his recruitment is far from over. The latest intel suggests that both Jimbo Fisher and Dabo Swinney have their programs right in the the thick of things. The Gators have also had plenty of success in recent years recruiting Lakeland, which is where Brownlow-Dindy has totaled 47.5 tackles for loss and 18.5 sacks over the past two seasons.
5-STAR DE SHEMAR STEWART
Contenders: LSU, Georgia, Alabama, Clemson and Miami
Shemar Stewart is the nation's No. 1 ranked strong-side defensive end and No. 5 overall recruit. He has made it clear that the plan is to get out to Baton Rouge and then likely Athens as soon the NCAA gives recruits the green light to hit the road. While Ed Orgeron's Tigers lead on the Crystal Ball and have for almost a year now, Kirby Smart's Bulldogs seem to be closing the gap on LSU. Alabama and Clemson also appear to have found some footing recently in the recruitment. Miami needs to win in year 3 under Manny Diaz to have a legit shot at keeping Stewart home.
