All I'm saying is in sports one team can be ranked #1 and be a 25 point favorite but if they just going through the motions and there is no intensity are we to blame the coach or the players? Is it Coach K fault they lost to and unranked team or the players? Coach K didn't have them prepared or were the players sleep walking?

IMO it’s a collective effort. There are games in any sport where we can say “the team was out schemed”. There are games where we can say “the players just didn’t have it”.

Coaches have to own up to every loss. Players have to own up to what they put on film.

I'm with you. It's a collective effort. Duke saw Stephen F. Austin and thought the guys will roll over because of who we are so we dont have to play like its North Carolina this is basically a scrimmage and Stephen F. Austin played like it was the NCAA championship game. Duke was a 27.5 point favor. Ouch.

SFA is a good program with a good coach. No matter who you are you have off nights in basketball, whether you are prepared or not. Shots fall for one side and not for the other, that’s the nature of the game.

Coach K has won multiple national championships. He has a lot of chips stacked. Manny isn’t sitting at the table with any chips. He’s just a novice who showed up at the table and played the game worse than a novice should.

Are you for real with this?

hahah I don’t know why I even post on this board.I’ll give manny a break for being a “rookie” coach and some mistakes but people act like he hasn’t been here 4 years and recruited everyone on defense. He talks about the “disease” he is part of it. He has been here 4 years. He is a **** marketing genius and it ain’t working on me. I see the truth that he ain’t the man for the job!

Look I get it, it’s apples to oranges and I don’t think anyone is comparing the coaches but the inverse of that argument also seems silly.

So because coach k has 11 championships and has been a great coach for years he gets a free pass for losing to an FCS school but a coach in his first year ever as a head coach doesn’t? So if coach K lost to Stephen Austin in year one he gets blasted but year 30 gets a pass?? Makes no sense.

I also looked and can’t believe coach K has been there since 1980.... BUT he came over from Army with a 9-17 record in his last year and at duke first year 17-13, second year 10-17 and third year 11-17.... CIS would have fried him lol
