There is no need to keep stressing about the d. I'm not a fan of d'onofrio either but **** it. We can still finish the year 11-1 and get fsu again. Maybe uconn will offer him the job but **** it man let's just hope they can finish strong and get to the acccg finally.

Did everyone come together and decide today would be "Make dumb threads about Coach D" day?

Move on from what? FSU beat us. Had little to do with Coach.

You are making way too much sense, the talent differential and depth are too much to overcome at this time, posters can beat this horse to death it doesn't change the famous "what is is".

Fanbase is still in denial about the decade of destruction of a once Cadillac program.

Golden is rebuilding and retooling. The price of imcompetant hires by an indifferent administration and a scandal have taken their toll and will not be repaired in less than 5 years.

Full ****** ahead bruh! You don't like Coach D but we can still finish 11-1 and get FSU again? This team went 7-5 last year and is now 7-1 because of the Defense. The defense was ranked 116th last season and is now keeping the team in games since the QB has been **** and the offense hasn't lived up to the hype.

It's obvious Miami lost this week because the tards are out in full force.

252 cane you don't like coach D, fine whatever. But don't blame the coaching for FSU, they have 5 stars all over the place while our talent is weak sauce.

Agree with all except the bolded.

Bad hires happen to even the most forward-thinking leaders and organizations. I don't think Shalala et al just suddenly woke up one day and said "y'know, I really should start caring more about the football team; think I'll hire Al Golden." IMO, she and the rest of the admin have cared about the success of the football team all along; they've just received and taken some bad advice and made a couple bad decisions based on that advice.

It would be cool if you acknowledged the issues with the offense. Otherwise it's tough to take you seriously when you say move on.

Some of miami fans are ******* retarded. Me not liking coach d play calling doesn't mean they can't beat vt,duke, uva and pitt. I'm not talking about fsu but it seems the fan base has really been taking the loss bad and not just on this site that's why i said it's time to move on. By the way i don't think it is the scheme that is bad, i think it's how he is using it.

It's tough to take people seriously when they are so adamant about the issues on defense with zero acknowledgement of our offensive problems.

With all due respect for Donna, she hired Shannon because it was an opportunity for a minority hire. Her giddiness during his introduction as a new head coach made it clear that HC experience and previous success in a leadership position were not among her criteria for Shannons hiring.

There are deficiencies on both offense and defense, simple to say this team is flawed probably playing over their heads based on talent level which suggests to me the coaches are getting the kids to play hard, fight and find a way to win.

Well the offense does have problems but everyone is bringing up the d that's why i mentioned it. Golden took a risk with coley. I think he hired coley to keep some of the top sfla prospects home. It's said that coley is very bright so i believe he felt he could develop with time and bring in top players (yearby, kaaya) while doing it.

Be original think for yourself.

With all due respect to you, Shalala hired Shannon because he was a bargain at a time when UM needed a bargain. We were paying off the salaries of Coker, Clark, and Labati, and we needed someone who would do the HC job for peanuts.

As for a "previous leadership position"...you seem to forget that there were plenty of other big-name programs hiring coordinators to the HC position around this time. Bellotti at Oregon had been their OC before taking over the HC job and making the Ducks a household name; then he passed off the reigns to his own OC Chip Kelly, and we all know that went pretty well. Clemson hired Dabo as HC, and he'd been WR coach. FSU hired Jimbo right around this same time to sit with his thumb up his *** and watch Bobby for a couple years.

That Shannon was a minority and had a dramatic back story was nice, but I can guaran-****-tee you that it wasn't the main reason for his hire. You're putting your beliefs about Shalala's politics ahead of all logic if you believe that she'd make the hire just to have a minority coach.
