College football is a sport of cycles. The Gators just had their run. The Noles are about to make theirs. With the Canes being investigated and the Gators getting fat at the top, Jimbo and his staff stacked deep and talented recruiting classes. Once he found his signal caller, the team was ready to compete for championships.

Tally is a loose city. Five-star after five-star has gone bust due to its temptations. The truly great Noles are the talented players who live clean: Charlie Ward, Warrick Dunn, Derrick Brooks. Even Deion Sanders never drank or smoke. Winston is that type of guy.

Yesterday did nothing to diminish my faith in Coach Golden or the direction of the Miami program. The NCAA is dead. The Gator is dead. Now the staff is loading up a Top 5 class flush with the big, athletic defensive players this team lacked last night. Our time is coming very soon.

The next four games are a critical step on the road back to greatness. There has been a late season letdown every year since Dorsey. The talented guys on offense need to raise their games with Duke and Dorsett out. The young players on defense need to continue to evolve into Miami-caliber savages. And if they can get to Charlotte, all it takes is one perfect game to crush the Noles’ dreams.

Can't wait until Saturday.

100% agree been Canes fan since 1983 seen it all. People forget how bad things were for Butch Davis before he put together the best roster ever. Al is headed that way still need 2014 and 2015 recruiting classes and find that QB.

Any word on Dalvin Cook that is the one guy I want to add to this class

Great Write up, fsu is ahead of us right now but that doesn't last long in Florida. Miami will have it's time just like uf had there time with Tebow. I'm looking forward to having a new general take over this team next year with either Ryan Williams, Greg Olsen, or Brad Kaaya. Golden just need to keep recruiting great classes & we will have our turn.

Agree great post. We just gotta keep the beasts home and we easily change the landscape quickly IMO. PJ Williams man and Freeman should be Canes but PJ's grandmom didnt let him switch. If you look at this year we have to get Cook and Michel or just Cook because then this will be another what if thread. Missing on Alex Collins proved to be a great loss in this game and in future games with Duke going down. Those one or two or three misses should not be anymore with the NCAA **** to rest. Be patient and we will get it done, alot of doom and gloomers are the same guys who sniff ALs balls when we win those are the type of guys who cant control there emotions and shouldnt be taken seriously when it comes to football talk.

Im telling you guys next year we will be better but may still not beat fsu but the year after they better prepare for annual losses. This class coming in with Chad Thomas and the boys have to grow up so Im not expected all world recruits freshman year unless your Clowney. I would love for the staff to land Cory Johnson I think hes a Wilkerson (jets) type talent. We will be fine so Im not even mad Im actually smiling inside, it sucks to lose but I expected it and it eased the pain because I know that they should beat us especially the **** storm we been through. Think about it like this that is the only the only THE ONLY team better than us in the ACC and we had a NCAA cloud under our program while they were not hand cuffed. I would take the Canes to beat a number of SEC schools right now including Georgia and LSU. We are almost there man just be patient and this is FSU little run they better capatilize. Not a hater but FSU probably can beat Bama this year and Ide hate to see it.

Gotta get Cook man have too. I though that this game was won by Freeman not Winston, and before the game he was the most I was worried about and everyone sleeps on him. U cant teach that get off and speed. Cook is that type of guy with way more upside.

Well one thing is for sure, this is going to be an exciting finish to the season. Without Duke, every game will be a dogfight, lets see what we are made of, the young bucks are gonna have to step up on offense.

I think Sony is starting to think harder about his hometown.

I think Cook's gonna flip to FSU

We comin.. Been a great season but were classes of true depth away in 2015 will be our big time run

I not worried at all. We are in the best position reasonably possible given the circumstances. FSU is going to be a machine for the foreseeable future. It's all about recruiting, provided you have competent coaches -- it took FSU 4 years of elite recruiting to get to this point. Our recruiting has been hampered by circumstances beyond our coaches' control. No longer. We will load up and be back competing with anyone within two years. We all agreed before the season that a 10 win campaign would be a success. We'll get there and I could not be happier with the progress of the program.

I personally know pj and terrence brooks he was a cane fan but he wanted to be close to home and pj was always a Seminole its hard to get central florida kids for various reasons but tbrooks was very underrated he was a beast we played high school ball together

i think sony is rethinking things. I get the feeling dalvin cook is a frontrunner but who knows.

FSU has been relatively healthy this year and in past years most NC's have had either those game were they won but shouldnt have or been completely healthy. I trust golden and like he keeps saying its a process i wish he could snap his fingers and us be back but it doesnt work like that. Like Dmoney said these last few games will tell us how much this team has changed due to past teams.

These last few games will tell us a lot. Man I miss those days when we could just match up man to man and dictate the games. This bend but don't break s$#! is not Miami football. We have got some guys that are studs but they are young!
