We were at 81 at the end of the season, lost 11 seniors + Jermaine Johnson + Corey White + Gionni Paul. That's 67.

You can't run off the QB's this quickly. Finnie isn't leaving either and Grimble can still contribute here. I would say Perry and Cleveland are two we should move on from. And definitely Hunter Wells
 
Also, shouldn't lose sight of Kelvin Cain, Luther Robinson, Finnie and Eddie Johnson as guys who could be gone at any moment.

Not to mention the guys from the previous regime who still haven't established themselves - Perry, Dye, Cory White (gone already?).

White's still here and he won't be going anywhere. Coolest kid on the team and he busts his ***, just always hurt. Dye was also our best blocking TE.

Can't afford to lose grimble at this point, IMO, regardless of his previous body of work.

Plenty of dlineman have looked like busts their first couple of years only to have that switch turn on. No reason to send Grimble packing, that's for sure. If I were going to cut 6 more kids, they would be:

1. David Perry
2. Hunter Wells
3. Ricardo Williams
4. David Thompson
5. Kelvin Cain
6. Asante Cleveland

That would leave us with 5 quarterbacks and 5 tight ends, enough for now. It would clear out some dead weight at DE to make room for AQM and Williams. And we don't need a warm body in Hunter Wells with 4 incoming olineman.

I love the optimism, but you don't want to set yourself up. You've got our 7 top targets all breaking towards us. And I'm not even including AQM who while we all think is going to announce for us tomorrow isn't 100%.

The math just doesn't add up. Just to nerd out a bit, even of our chances with each kid was as high as 60%, there is only a 2.8% chance we get all 7 using the laws of probability.

My point being, is if we pull 4 of those top kids, and then grab two B types, Golden deserves a Crown. I'm not even gonna get into where the numbers say we should net out because I'm a believer. This staff is putting in work.

I am not running them off. I am predicting David Thompson never plays football here and that one of Crow/Dewey transfers on their own accord. With Morris, Williams, and Olsen coming in, I believe whoever is at the bottom of the depth chart at the end of spring will elect to transfer. This stuff usually plays itself out pretty organically. Why would Crow or whoever want to stick around buried as the 5th QB?
