thats the true incompetence. he was forced to play trask bc of the injury to franks. he knew what he had in all 3 and still chose the running QB (bc thats the way he likes to run his offense no matter what). mullen is just waiting for jones to be ready.
 
Winning cures everything. Look at UF’s last two offseasons. Two summers ago, every player was getting arrested and getting in knife fights with Gainesville gangs, but they won 10 games and finished with a good recruiting class.

Then, said recruiting class falls apart over the summer for all types of reasons, and it is decided Mullen can’t recruit. Now they’re 6-0 and getting studs.

If we ever get quality coaching, who can lead us to wins by out coaching opponents, Mullen is a clear example you don’t need to be Dabo to get blue chip recruits.

mullen also lucked into this w the franks injury. trask is much better than franks as a passer and helps them out offensively, but without a bad injury to franks, they never see trask take the field.

thsi has been the case forever. look at what UF pays their coaches. mullen was their THIRD choice and hes getting 6.6. most weve paid is richt and he got 4.05 mill. its apples and oranges.

Ooooooooor wins games...F#ck that, at the bare bones staffs beat the ppl they’re suppose to. I remember when we switched to the ACC more than a decade ago and we still haven’t brought in a conference championship...it ain’t an algebraic expression...semantics, maybe..

He can't go out there and pig it up any better than Nelson is? (And I'm not giving up on Nelson long run, just saying)...He can't give up sacks too?

franks and trask have basically the same completion % and the same ypa.

And Miami will continue to thumb wrestle mid tier ACC schools for recruits, and struggle to win a game vs ANY P5 team.

I don't disagree which is why I said we may get lucky like we did the 10 win year under richt and compete for a playoff but don't expect it regularly or even a title in todays game. we don't put up the resources like the big state schools do (and I don't think we should based on our fan support and booster support). If we want the school to big spend (like they did for the IPF), well need the boosters to continue putting up big money like the bull gators and seminole club does. we need another soffer turnberry donation to get the urban meyer fund going. to attract an above average coach (mullen), you need at least 5-6 mill. that would be more than weve ever paid to an HC

Lol everything you are saying their own fans rag their team about. B4 The season they were saying they WERENT committed to football. And if they go on a losing streak from here on out they will be right back at square 1
