I thought they would fix the problem last offseason and we got Meesh and Savion. Better have more than just Poyser. We legit need one more playoff caliber and one more mid-P4 starting caliber safety at the minimum. If we can bring in Barrow, Clark and Cook at DT last offseason we need to do at least the same or better at S this offseason.

When you turn on their film it wasn’t a fix. If Meesh was legit he wouldn’t be playin his 50th season in college. That was a huge red flag but everyone thought national title team so he had to be good. Which doesn’t make sense

While true, if guys are 4th round and beyond, they can hit the portal and get a big payday, so that’s not a fair argument.. look at Cam in his 70th year lol. Plus we played buddy out of position and he still had 4 or 5 picks on the year. He was bad, but not terrible

Yea but Cam kept going to better schools and nfl scouts are retarded. I saw cam wsu highlights and he would have been the first qb I picked last year I said it then. Him Daniel’s and Penix imo were the best qbs. They missed on film and they are possibly missing this year with the whole “there aren’t great QBs this draft class” they are wrong about him. Idk why they don’t see it but sometimes they don’t. If you can’t run as a DB then you in trouble

Meesh was solid portal pickup, but was overrated. He was an okay P4 starter and that’s it. His warts were exposed when not surrounded by other p4 worthy players. He sure as **** never was the impact player many wanted him to be but looked like Antrel Rolle when you considered the previous cycle we got Savion.

Taking these already injured kids is too risky in general. I understand you don't wanna just drop a kid cuz the optics are bad but not 1 under these circumstances has worked out. Kid got free rehab for a year and just bounces. Bad deal.

That was my point. I thought we were going to fix the problem, we didn't, we got Meesh (and RIley). That was NOT fixing the problem.

So my confidence that we'll fix the problem this year is much lower. Given they have a 50% bust rate on portal transfers, even higher at DB, I want them to both bring in guys that are proven AND throw numbers at the problem.
