Horton is miles ahead of Brown, and it’s not even close. Brown tends to vanish for large portions of the game and struggles with drops. Horton, on the other hand, is constantly open and consistently makes tough catches on low throws to help Cam out. Plus, that pass in the end zone should’ve been a pass interference call.. the defender clearly grabbed his shoulder pads early right in front of the ref too.

Agreed and one of the freshman(JoJo) needs to start cutting in to George and Browns snaps.
George playing well. He’s still got that ankle injury. He was hurt all summer too. Gotta respect guys that toughen out games when hurting. Player like him who’s strengths are route running and quickness struggle when they have ankle injuries. But he still made some dudes look silly smh

george is tough because he tends to balance out his bonehead plays with good ones. he is a legitimate plus on the field.

brown, on the other hand...i hate to be so harsh but idk why this dude is getting snaps at this point. that one bomb against USF aside, very little positive has happened when we've thrown the ball his way. let's see what trader's got.

George can make plays here and there - but he is proving what everyone had been saying all summer that he is more of a detriment to the team than anything. It was one thing to have a couple bad unsportsmanlike penalties last season - but he has shown he did not learn from those mistakes at all - or he just doesn’t care. He’s approaching being unplayable. I think if we had more experienced quality depth he wouldn’t be seeing the field. I was hesitant to jump on that bandwagon but his ship has sailed with me.

Brown doesn’t do much for me either. I agree Horton needs to start and Jojo and maybe Carr need to start eating into those guys reps.

Lots of accolades and blame to go around tonight.

Cal not triple covering X on each play "when it counted" is just baffling.
They knew it wouldn't matter. Better to at least look like you were covering everyone than have George beat you because he's on a linebacker. Really it's defensive PR. No one has any allusions of covering X
