Good pick up. Rumph needs to get his recruiting more organized or something. This doesn’t make sense why he wouldn’t have kids like this identified earlier so he could have a chance at more of them.
 
If he can land this kid and one other, awesome. Still won’t solve the issue of landing a local elite talent. Land 1 at least from time to time. Lack of backyard recruiting will haunt us. Yes, we can patch it by landing some decent guys but unless we are patching it with the elite prospects from other states then this is still a major red flag and needs to be addressed.

I think the question is why it comes down to last minute prayers? Listen, Williams/Couch and then Dunson/Clarke are really good classes. But, 2 of those were last minute pulls. It’s tough to live that way.

As it is, another high level CB class for Rumph.

There wasn’t 4-5 studs in THIS 2020 class that we realistic had a chance at getting. 2018 class was tough battles but bama and uga obviously tough competition, is what it is. Blades had a better year than most of the top dbs in that class regardless🤷🏾‍♂️

Why is Bolden on here? Rumph has had hit on some guys but his misses are bad and the depth he’s building is bad

Oh we still gonna count Ivey and Dean as 4*??? Come on man...
 
Rumph drives me crazy. He screws up the board and gets one good guy a year causing a near riot before landing a very good/excellent guy late (2nd year in a row). If this kid signs, our 3 year haul of Blades, Ivey, Couch, Williams, Clarke, and Dunson is actually a lot of very good upside. I loved the Couch get last year, and really liked Williams. I really like Clarke's athleticism and upside, but love Dunson.

We would just need one more this year.
 
Rumph just likes to pace himself throughout the recruiting year, that's all.

Anyway, this CB would be a nice add and from a solid HS in GA.

And he'd be our first from GA in this class since we lost the DE we had.

Bandy was coming here as long as UM offered, not only that but he is no longer at UM, Dean was subpar here, Gilbert can't play CB, DJ ivey sucks, the trial is still out on Williams and Couch, Clark is a huge project with his chances of becoming an effective CB being 50 50 she to his severe lack of physicality, and Dunson has not committed.... in short CB depth is still trash becuase Rumph sucks.

No one is saying Rumph is an all world recruiter. He's a developer that also brings in Miami caliber DBs every year.

Has sent a player to the league each year at Miami.
