If UF played Montana St or one of their other favorite OOC opponents instead of us, they would be 5-0 and ranked about 5 right now, with nothing but NC game talk surrounding them.

But us beating them (they can't do any worse than 9-3, and more likely they go 10-2 or even 11-1) is NOTHING compared to USC's signature win over UNC, or aTm's NC caliber win over Arkansas, or LSU's impressive win over......uh....Aubern?

Sick of this phony rankings system.

As far as I can remember there has been pre-season rankings and its just the way it is....
We sucked last year and the voters aren't ready to put us ahead of some 1 loss teams, don't really see a problem with that right now.

I don't see a problem with that as well. I'm good with where we are at now. The team still has a lot to prove. Other than FSU, we SHOULDN'T lose any of the upcoming games IMO. I do think we lose to one division opponent though.

Agree. It's too early in the season to be worrying about that. If we are in week 11 or 12 and they are still ahead of us as undefeated team, then we can start *****ing.

UF is probably the best team in the SEC east from what I've seen. Even without Easley that defense just dominates teams.

From what I've seen so far Miami is better than Georgia and South Carolina. Don't understand why they are ranked in front of us with a loss still. They are playing close games against bad teams in addition to the loss. The polls are very much what have you done for me lately.

I do too man, but we're talking about potentially playing for a NC here.

We just need to keep grinding. It's hard for us to get respect to begin with. Then you had those years recently where there were some national guys trying to pimp The U and they got burned hardcore.


In CFB these days, you gotta go undefeated to be where we want to be. Usually, **** happens and if you go undefeated you're good. Especially in our case where we'd have to have beaten UF, FSU and Clemson/FSU in the ACCCG. Next year is the playoff so it's even better.


I don't know if we're ready this season. We still got room to grow in the areas that need it and I think we got the talent to do it too. Luckily, we get FSU a little later than normal which could be huge. It could give some younger guys like Figs, Artie, AQM, Coley, etc. time to be ready for that type of stage. I think we might need them to be.


Then you have the teams that have been our bugaboo or whatever like UNC and UVA. A nice stomping of UNC coming up next could be a big sign for the future.

When asked before the season would you rather beat UF and lose a few other games or lose to UF but win the title? ... Well you can guess what my answer was... It's an illness,but the hate is Real

agreed. my love for miami outweighs my hatred for the gators. if them having a good season means we end up in a better spot then so be it. Doesn't mean i'll root for them in their games but i won't be as upset when they win.

...if we blow a few games and it doesnt matter anymore, then let them lose every game
