Is "No QB" an excuse for 2014?

Another mulligan for 2014?

"But we don't have Morris" BETTER not be the excuse to finish 4th in the Coastal in 2014 and 2015.

This is just Muschump 2.0 style,.

And if that excuse holds up for 2014, then it's automatic for 2015 ("We lost Ryan Williams, Olson is a first year starter.....")

This is why I hate coaches/teams with excuses. It never ends.

For me it all boils down the job of defensive coordinator. If Golden doesnt make a move this offseason then we (I) will know that he is not the right man for this job.


Its clear that coach coley is learning on the job. We as Canes fans had to accept that. Coley was brought in to help us with the NCAA investigation and because he knows the ins and outs of high level recruiting. HOPEFULLY he can clinic with some good play callers this offseason (guys like Jedd Fisch :) ) and work on play development that fits our roster.

A SWOT analysis is a basic assessment tool. I hope all who give their opinion hold themselves to the same standards.

I believe that can be the case. Im just not sure our coaching staff is willing to use Ryan Williams. Golden and staff are big on guys who "look the part." Im not sure our coaching staff understands now successful UM has been with cerebral QBs who lack elite athleticism.
 
No. If Olsen is what he's supposed to be he should be able to beat out Ryan Williams, barring Ryan going into super sayain mode. We're in a era where any redshirt freshman worth his while is balling. It's on Coley to get him right.

Thing is from what I hear the chosen one aint ready... and golden is not starting a freshman if Kaaya is even coming..It Williams or bust
 
Ryan Williams can have a really good year, but he's going to have a tough time the minute he makes a mistake or two because this fan base hates him already. He doesn't have the rocket arm that they like, so he's going to be on a short leash with the fans and will be the instant scapegoat if Al Tin continues on with this putrescent defense of his.

I think Coley was fine this year. Granted those stretch runs at times and forgetting the screen were frustrating but when Morris would check down, the offense was fine. To me the issue was Morris forcing the issue, not Coleys play calling. But that's just me...
 
They handpicked Olsen.

RS-FR at any position, even QB, have success throughout college football. There's no excuse to be made.

****, we've seen posts here from people who know people who know what's up that coach Golden is actively looking for a transfer QB for next year. For me, at some point being a Miami Hurricane is more than playing for UM for a year or two. I would really hate it if we brought in a QB for one year. Its Ryan Williams turn. He came here when Golden asked him to. If the kid waits for his turn and doesnt get it, it will be yet another stain on Golden's image IMO.

****, Golden is mister" Play the seniors" guy. We stuck with Stephen Morris when he was on one leg and tossing int's like dimes into a candy dish at the fair. lol

I remember in one of the raising canes episodes of them saying that he looks the part, i can see williams having a decent year, ive heard some things about his arm strength not being as strong as morris but he is very accurate

Hey, I definately hope it's NOT an excuse.

But three years of excuses doesn't indicate it will stop anytime soon.

IF kaaya is coming? have you payed absolutely zero attention to Pete. He's spoken with Kaaya and he has said he couldn't be any more solid. Stop posting things like that
