Is Mario keeping the FSU list quiet?

I’m shocked to not see any names leaking yet as to who is attending - we haven’t had a single decent home game to send recruits to so I assumed the list was going to be large.

Competition for the top players with UGA/Tenn and BAMA/LSU

Yes. Being kept quiet, along with the next two months of recruiting.

We should bomb the recruiting names committed to Bama, UGA Ohio etc as coming to visit. Highly rated who we are not after and have them spend 3 days figuring if its true or not. Like Olaus opens back communication. Miami back in the mix for Collins.....thats of we arent of course. Just an example. Joenel reconsiders Canes.

quiet tim and eric GIF

I love how the secrecy is getting under the 247 national crew's skin.. latest week 9 recruiting winners/losers.. we are nowhere to be found. Mario is ******* up their Intel and they hate it. I don't think they are used to that haha
I watched a podcast with Andrew Ivins, and he was salty as **** about Cormani committing to Miami. Dude is still trying to figure out how he got it so wrong,

Which one? I subscribe to the 247 recruiting one. They ALWAYS have a breaking podcast any time a 5 star kid announces. With Cormani - radio silence. lol NEver put out a podcast talking about Cormani. And we all know that Fong absolutely hates miami.

It‘s a podcast called preps to pros that he does with Cooper Petagna.

This is worth a listen. The Cormani portion is very early and yes Ivins seem almost upset because not only was the decision a surprise, but also because Cormani went off script with the timing. He basically stiff armed 247’s schedule.
Right after talking about Cormani the conversation shifts to Kaleb Spencer. And this is why you know recruiting sites are trash. Ivins was asked about his comparing Spencer to Isiah Simmons, and Ivins says that comparison is from Venables. So Ivins in his earlier comparison is just parroting the coach. I’m sure this happens countless times but now you know why some schools have such high rated players. Because the analysts are relying on the coaches Evals.
so then what value does the analyst bring? Zero.

i just watched that too. Agree. I didn't care for his insinuations through the whole thing. Basically said Miami offered the kid a huge sum of $$ right before. And the same for Spencer's commitment on Friday. "I'd bet Miami twisted his arm to make that public on Friday".....

He even mentioned that 247 had worked out a whole timeline with Cormani's mom. They were not happy from the start when he got there late.....

Ivins has had beta energy since day 1. Since he started covering us for 247 he was always desperate to move up and consistently took little sly shots at us.

The bank had a lot of names attending the game. After watching our team this year, I'm really worried we lose ugly. Not because FSU is a juggernaut but because we can't get out of our own way a lot of the time.

There will be a dumb *** out there that will see some kid in the stadium snap a picture and post it somewhere.
It never fails.

If that happens and the recruit gets all bent out of shape about, so what? You don't want anyone to know a thing or it to be a secret, then don't put yourself in a place that it gets out. Sure as heck don't do it if you aren't willing to deal with whatever comes you way after. Absolutely be willing to say that you wanted to go, you did, and if it's a problem it's on you.

I'm by no means saying there needs to be a list. If you're going to a free game, you're going to be in a certain section where recruits always are. You're exposed at that point and it's the chance you take.

I definitely understand that concern but call me crazy but I think we turned a corner last week. Didn't see any quit and even tho it was uuuuuggggllllyyyyy on offense they kept grinding and gutted it out

It's always been the school's that largely determine how good someone is perceived. They're extremely well paid professionals and while they don't give them their grade or star status, the pursuit of said recruits factors in a lot. Just the same as if interest wanes.

Schools also are connected on a much deeper level to high school coaches and talent evaluators at the local level. That's why developing relationships matter, trust amongst coaches gets them a look or word first.

None of this means that recruiting service guys who've seen a lot of film, camps, and even been to schools doesn't matter. Some are just better than others, but if they were trusted and as good at spotting talent as the guys at schools, they'd be making more money at whatever school.

exactly. As though NIL isn’t a factor in decisions other kids make. As though illegal payments weren’t/aren’t a factor in decision making? Why mention it only as it comes to UM? Sounds like a hater to me.
