I just want someone who won't fumble, getting big returns is a distant second to me in terms of importance. I'd go:Who did you have in mind
I realized that Manny is not that smart
True....but we saw a Glimpse of his quickness and speed...I saw Restrepo field one punt this season and it was a bad decision fielding a bouncing punt at full speed.
That's on Diaz...We ALWAYS have someone who can do better. If it's not a true freshman, bring out a six year old who's a 'Canes fan. The point is, the guys that are seniors and starting are never the best players.
Did you watch last season with Baxa? Sure he is.Continue to play Mark Pope at punt return?
You can’t trust this guy on the field for anything. If we trot him out on PR against Clemson that will tell you everything you need to know about Manny.
Yep. Don’t watch, he’s starting again.Continue to play Mark Pope at punt return?

At this point just bringing 11 on a punt block is better than turning it over on a fumble. Are we sure we have someone who can do better?

Quite likely catastrophic.I am willing to concede return ability for someone who never drops punts. Just fair catch. A fumble against Clemson is going to be costly.
