I saw an article that reported his time in the 40 was 4.38. Anyone know if this is the case?

I’m just curious - is that how to estimate a 40? Essentially, divide the 100m time in half ans take about 2 seconds off?

Theres no exact formula. 10.3 - 10.6 or lower is usually sub 4.4 guys from my observation over the years. Also im not sure when that 10.9 time is from or if it was wind aided. Either way hes plenty fast for a college CB

DVD ran a 10.7 coming out of high school and he ran a 4.2 at the combine. The 40 is more about quickness and this kid has it. Also he is a football player and not just a fast guy. He has ball skills

Theres a 3-4 year gap in those times. But yes you can dig into a runners splits on the 100m to see if they may test better on a shorter run like the 40yd. Anyone running a 4.35 or lower os typically closer to the olympic trial qualifying time on the 100 meter which varies every year but is in the 10.1-10.4 range

Guys get faster is college. And he’s not a stick either. Decent size coming in
This. Depending if he runs track this year and how good program is, how serious he takes it, a good goal would be 10.6-10.7 range for him.. Which is cooking before leaving high school for a football player.. For reference Hester was like a 10.6 guy and Travis Benjamin was a 10.4

Idk sht about evaluation.
But this kid is fast AF and athletic.
These 2 way players that are long and fast are exactly what lord Saban looks for in a db.
Dude is a steal imo.
Put on the tape and see for yourselves

Agree. 9th to 11th? Sure, big jump. 11th to 12th, eh not so sure.
I really don't know. It was a genuine question. I know there are a bunch of track-focused dudes on the board. Didn't we have someone who constantly posted all players' or prospects' track times?
