Is guidry coaching for his job?

Guidry is a great DC for a team without title hopes, that’s not us anymore. It won’t be this year, but our contention window is opening. His time has run its course here and we need a better DC next year

I agree but we need a nickel another boundary corner maybe two more speed at lb and probably two or three more dt mesidor isn't a dt I think bain should play inside more also. If we do replace guidry whoever we hire will want to bring in his own guys so that could mean bye bye Nicholson or jt those two are our best defensive coaches the rest I think can be replaced.

Also, #0 is a good nickel. He has limitations in man coverage there, but otherwise he has the instincts and attention to detail to play that position well. #15 looked confident back there making calls and getting people lined up. We already know he has great range. It worked out for us this week.

I have been saying for weeks that it’s a bunch of dumb **** we are doing. Like elementary stuff like alignment and assignment. Makes everything harder when the defenses isn’t sound (ie the parts don’t fit together). Tackling is harder. Coverage is harder. We didn’t shoot ourselves in the foot and we are a different defense.

Night and day when you watch the UF game vs almost every game before today.

We are going to need championship caliber coordinators to makeup for Mario who really doesn't have defensive or offensive coaching knowledge or skills.
You look at championship contender HCs... they all have great coaching knowledge on one or the other side of the ball.
Mario cannot even coach up the STs... or call his own TOs sensibly..
 
That victory against bye last week gave him a lot of confidence that his changes would work so he went ahead and used them again this week…

7 was benched a lot and Powell was in the slot. Powell is not a free safety and Harris isn’t a safety at all.. 15 and 20 looked good out there.
