it's the fundamental **** that's getting me ... that mass substitution in the middle of a down ... that's pop warner stuff ... and tbh, we were out leveraged again today a few times, wake forest just didn't capitalize

We haven’t been doing basic **** correctly. Today we did basic **** correctly. I think a certain personnel change up front made a huge difference. I’ll give you a hint: we weren’t losing contain on pass rush, we weren’t getting kicked out against man run schemes and we weren’t creating massive seams against zone schemes.

Also, #0 is a good nickel. He has limitations in man coverage there, but otherwise he has the instincts and attention to detail to play that position well. #15 looked confident back there making calls and getting people lined up. We already know he has great range. It worked out for us this week.

I have been saying for weeks that it’s a bunch of dumb **** we are doing. Like elementary stuff like alignment and assignment. Makes everything harder when the defenses isn’t sound (ie the parts don’t fit together). Tackling is harder. Coverage is harder. We didn’t shoot ourselves in the foot and we are a different defense.

that's my thing ... we struggling with basic **** like lining up ... not to mention tacklin ... containing ... getting off blocks, etc etc
