I think there were steady rumors swirling at the time of Finnie's computer heist that Pierre might have been involved in some way. Seems to me if that was true he'd already be gone.

EJ is a better player than Pierre, but the loss of Pierre would be more devastating due to a lack of other experienced options at DT. It would be crippling to this team to lose Pierre after building him up to the point where he will be very effective.
