Is Cook truly committed to UF

I'm not saying Porter isn't important. **** he could he the most important player on the defense.

But if he's healthy we own the Gators?

Porter, Pierre, and Robinson are all important in that game but the edges are where we have to be even better. If we go Colin Klein on the outside, Driskell will probably light us up.

You will need the whole front 7 to play well to stop the run . I have seen a lot of people on here hyping up Porter and Pierre I am really interested in seeing if they live up to the hype. I also think that is why so many Miami fans are pumped about this game you can only say "we back or we have a great OL or we have the best WR in the country". You want your team to go out and prove it against somebody you believe has a good football team.

Let's just trot them out and see how they run.

Truth is, we don't have a clue how our defense will play. Upon the snap, if they just shut their eyes and hit someone, we'd be no worse than we were last year.

You have to look at the big picture.

With UF's ****** QB and ****** offense, the defense just has to be able to not get pushed around. Especially up the middle.

I said our offense would be able to outscore them either way. I believe with Porter in there, we won't be getting blown off the ball at the very least. I actually believe he will have his fair share of disruptive plays in their backfield.

You add to that all our back 7 is a year better and should have a better grasp of what their job is, and I think we roll.

You also have to factor in all of the Gator's losses on D and O. Who is going to take Gillislee's place? I'm sure they got some talent on defense to step in, but I don't see them being as effective as Sharrif Floyd and the guys that left. Especially not in the 1st big game of the season.

And nobody compared Porter to Warren Sapp FWIW. At least I didn't.

You can't say look at the whole picture and also say if one guy is healthy we own them. That doesn't make sense.

People can talk **** about Driskell all they want but he would have piled up 500 yards on us no problem. Our weakness is the edges, even more so than DT, if that's even possible.

Like I said in my previous post with guys like Porter, Robinson, Bond, Figs, AQM etc.we should get better performances from Chick and Green on the outside.

The entire front has to come to play but I do agree, as I said, that Porter has a huge trickle down effect. Whether its enough remains to be seen.

I keep seeing people talk about the people UF lost but you would think Miami fans of all people would appreciate how top notch recruiting classes can make those transitions seamless, or maybe even better. I don't think its wise to make such bold proclamations right now.

Also should add I don't go along with the theory that we are just going to score at will. That makes no sense.

Yes our offense is going to put up video game numbers against ****** ACC defenses but I don't understand how we go to scoring at will against an SEC team. Morris hasn't shown that. We got shut down plenty last year by physical defenses.

Remains to be seen if we step up but I don't see any reason to think we are putting up 40 on UF.

Matt Jones at RB Easley is sliding into Floyd's spot at DT. UF played a lot of people last year the talent depth and experience is much better than some Miami fans think it is.

I think some people forget how bad we were on D.

**** I wish I could shake those nightmares too but I can't. Let's not be delusional here. This can be a good honest discussion.

Not having Eddie Johnson could be an X-factor in this game if we don't have another linebacker step up to be at least as good as Eddie would have been at the position this year. In my eyes he was going to be our star on D with perryman and bush. His replacement can't be a jag. Lets hope someone steps up.

Asking people here to not be delusional is unreasonable.

With there Dline we wont be able to run Ufag is at a point where they reload there DLine year in and out. *** did not leave an unbalanced class like AG is trying to still fix because of Shantard. The SEC is known for stopping our type of O year in and out ( most of there upper tier teams ) All the games we lost last year Duke could not run and SM without a running game against a good team has been losses. Also even if ufag is mediocre on O with our D we made UVA look like Oregon. This game is all about Duke if he can get 150 we win and Im a big believer in Defense wins championships and Ufag has a better Dcor and D at this point. Most importantly who will get pressure of the edge? We really need someone from this last class to be a disruptive force in the backfield and hopefully its Bond because theres no robert nkemdiche walking through tbhe door at 260. Im not big on Porter or Robinson do to the scheme because Im starting to think it isnt all there fault. OP showed the most flash out of anyone on that interior DL.

Im all for an honest discusion and making a thread about the ufag game till gameday. mature adults only not the cry baby UM does no wrong ones. most people laugh at DBC but think just like him

Totally agree with you, but Driskell isn't the one who worry me in that game, he's probably the one who worry me the least...

It's easily the biggest game in Dorito and Franklin carreer because if we get run over like last year, I can't see them staying any longer, no matter how many win we have at the end of the season.

**** if we get steam rolled I would be ****ed at AG for letting Dorito stay this year. Depends of there O goes wild on our D. Also to point out to people this game no matter the outcome has no impact on Cook if u have followed his recruitment.

I liked Eddie a lot but let's be honest, he had a ton of holes in his game. I don't think he's as irreplaceable as some make him out to he.

Sure he was still young and had plenty of room to grow but he sure didn't have the attitude of a guy that was going to put in the work.

Its a blow, but I think in time we will be better off with guys like Figs and Grace. Obviously the health of DP and Kirby is paramount for the UF game.

Understandable. In no way am I making Driskell out to he some phenom. However his game and UFs game plan would have caused us major problems last year. We would have made him look like a Heisman winner I have no doubts.

If we bring the attitude we brought against FSU last year, couple that with the health and maturation of the team, and we can certainly win.

**** I went ahead and got myself all pumped up in May again. Dammit.

Florida sucks on offense and Miami sucks on defense. Until proven otherwise, it's the truth.

Driskel is one of the worst passing quarterbacks in football but we make ****** quarterbacks look good all the time. We shall see.

We had to be every QB's best game last year. We made Chase Rettig look like Joe Montana.

I want to see how our WRs match up with UFs DBs.

Now I really like our WR group but UF usually has plenty of talent in the secondary. Do we have the types of WRs that can get open against really good DBs?(not sure how UF stacks up) Can Morris complete the throws? Can our guys catch those throws?

I think that's where the game is won or lost with us.
