We’ve lost about 17 guys to the portal so far, have a bunch of injured guys that wouldn’t have played, and TS/Ivey who may or may not have opted out. This year is the lone exception where making a bowl is most likely a net positive.

It's still not a net positive.

Unlike Slingblade Billy, Mario would have found cell phone service and high-speed WiFi even if we were playing a bowl game in Juneau, Alaska.

Same here but having to play a bowl before the dead period/esd is a big hinderance. Better to get a late Dec/Jan Bowl game or none at all.

The problem most of us have is the positive spin article would have never been written if it was Miami instead of UF. The difference in how they report and cover things for different schools is the problem.
