Interesting tidbit from Cooper Petagna

I wanted to go to a bowl just because I like to have one last game to watch, but for this season and this reason it was a blessing to lose to Pitt.
More the timing of the game that would be an issue than actually having a bowl game. If it was between Christmas and New Year's like most of them then you can still recruit as normal plus allows you to have the kid visit practice. The fact the game is this weekend with a dead period starting at midnight Sunday means you cannot have anyone visit or really do any in homes the last week before signing day. Personally I love it since it means problems for the Gators but it would suck if it was Miami.

Apparently we tanked for Samson
That's some funny stuff man. Well done. Seriously though, as someone pointed out already, with the amount of turnover we're expecting and have already had, both players and God-willing, coaches, who do the extra practices benefit? This is more than a net positive, this is absolutely a win.

I agree brother. I will say that yes of course I want Gattis gone, we need this, we need that etc

But priority #1 right now is closing on this class, which could be one of the best we’ve had in decades

All the other stuff can wait if it means Mario and co can focus on this, which seems to be his approach

He was talking about what a hinderance it was for Florida to be stuck in Las Vegas this week for their bowl game and how it’s the last place you want to be this close to signing day. Thought it was kind of funny thinking about it.

Why lol they have fkn private planes he could practice for 4 hours and get on an up and back flight to wherever he needs to go
