it would be more like 7-5

I was always taught that you round up at .5

The one that gives the closer ratio probably represents the situation better. 7.5/5.4 = 1.389. 7/5 = 1.4, whereas 8/5 = 1.6. So 7-5 gives a winning percentage (7 out of 12) that is much closer to 7.5 - 5.4 than does 8 - 5 (8 out of 13). One red flag on rounding is that each round (7.5 to 8 and 5.4 to 5) increases the ratio, so that the two of them together tend to distort the overall picture.

Kurt Vonnegut was better:

"Say what you will about the sweet miracle of unquestioning faith, I consider a capacity for it absolutely vile!"

What's the record the remaining 4 seasons?

Our average record the last 10 seasons:

7.5 - 5.4

Put simply: 8-5

Here is where it gets interesting:

We haven't gone 8-5 once over that stretch.

We've gone 9-4, 9-3, 7-5, 7-6, 6-6, 5-7.

So if Golden is supposed to be a good coach and we're to expect different results in 2014, then anything worse than 8-5 should get him terminated. Who disagrees?

He could save himself if he merks his whole staff. Maybe this is why he brough Dorito back so it would give him a longer leash if he decides to make changes down the road.
