Never in the history of our program have we got most of the elite kids. Even 00-02 teams weren't stacked with 5 star talent everywhere. Butch was great at ID'ing guys that fit what he wanted to do and had heart. Manny will have to do the same with very good talent and guys who fit what we do. That is how we become dominant again.
 
I took from that article that if we want a kid, offer him, don't slow play them. Make the offers, take real interest in how the kids are doing, stay in contact and communicate with them. Stay on them, it is a tiring job, but hey, it's what these coaches signed up for.

We couldn't have possibly done any more for Jobe and Rique. They practically lived on campus and they still dropped us like a bad habit.

Our staff has done that many, many times, and still get shafted at the end after the kid plays them for months or even years.
