USC doesn’t have to deal with the SEC shenanigans during recruitment.

WHy would the SEC teams go to cali if they can go to florida for the better player, if cali had better player Im sure the sec would go hard over there

Hold on D; u already know I’m from the soil of Cali. Cali have beast just like So Fla have beast. I mean, SEC schools come out this way as well. Najee Harris was hounded by Bama and UGA. I can go on and on about the beast that, in particular, So Cal produce. The difference is, Dade, Broward, and Palm Counties are surrounded by SEC territories.

They don’t have to drive across country, when they can easily poach a couple of hours away. Cali is on the other side of town, plus everyone have to remember, SC was LA’s pro football team for many years. There’s a brand loyalty w USC in So Cal.

Also SC is in da hood, like fa real fa real. It’s a symbol of hope for many cats from the hood w ball skills that they can make it to that University. SEC teams have already learned that if a high school is w/in a 2 hr drive from SC and they have a highly rated player there, it’s a moot point.

So Fla have installed this me-first, front running attitude. Kids get to transfer in and out of schools to play for better teams all the time. It’s not like that in Cali.

Furthermore, USC’s media coverage don’t kiss up to the rivals. Miami has some of the worst media coverage I’ve ever seen, to the point they allow our biggest rival to have a talk segment on our hub station! It’s a lot of factors as to y SEC and rival teams feel so comfortable pulling up to the crib.

Cali is a different vibe, they don’t have those sec handlers around them pushing them to that conference and usc is THE school out west for them even though they havent done anything since the early to mid 2000s. Usc is the most similar program in the country in terms of alot of things only difference is that there are 3 instate powers and we happen to reside in the most unloyal area in the country. Over the last 10 years(mainly before richt) we haven’t been known for winning big, when we do we will get kids like Tyson Campbell and pat surtain on the regular . Even though usc loads up talent year in and year out they still fold regardless but these kids have seen them be successful, they have seen bama be successful, uga has had sustained success since the 2000s. Before this season we haven’t won over 10 games since what 2004? This season was a good start now we need to continue with another great season to start changing the perception of Miami

There is a common suggestion on here that kids in South Florida are “unloyal” and it’s nonsense.

You’re a grown man that’s upset a few kids turned down the college team your a fan of and are trying to knock their morality when you don’t even know them. You’re not in their position, you aren’t in their family or close circle and privy to the details of their recruitment. You would also do what is best for you and your family, like most human beings would.

Furthermore, if we want to get detailed, the University of Miami is a private school in Coral Gables that has very few actual people from Miami and South Florida who attend it. If you want loyalty to a public university in South Florida, why aren’t you upset they don’t go to FIU or FAU?

If you are mad that this top ten class wasn’t perfect because they csme up one DB or one DE short, go at the coaches whose job it is to get it done. At least the stupid Rumph narrative is attacking a grown man. You don’t have a moral high ground over these kids.

SC kids go to USC no matter what’s going on. They don’t need to see them win 8 championships first. Aren’t front runners

Problem is a lot of Miami kids are entitled and front runners. Nothing we can do about it.

The only way Richt would ever be on the hot seat is if we have consecutive 8 win seasons with the recruiting classes he is putting together. 8 wins would be unacceptable here with the amount of talent we are bring in. I see his floor as 9 wins and so does his career past. In summary, Richt will be here as long as he wants.

Richt is a **** good football coach. We just need a QB that can make plays bc the offensive firepower we have stacked the last 2 classes is eye popping. If we can get a QB to play at a high level we will compete for a Natty.
