Inner City Kids and Da U

I know some dudes from Vegas hoods that went to Gorman and South Central LA kids who went to private schools.

Them ****** was more hood than a lil bit

The point and I agree with OP is that inner city kids fit well in our locker room and we must use that to our advantage to get kids like THOMAS. Why all the anger to such a simple and astute point?

I'll keep saying this, If we are going to recruit OOS. Inner City kids should take priority. Inner City kids from OOS have always done well here. And more timea than not, they will fit in with the culture of the Locker Room.

Baltimore
E. St. Louis
Las Vegas

All represented Big time yesterday. Our biggest OOS recruit is from Atlanta.
" INNER CITY "....You sound just like a BAMMER...

The beauty is Richt and Diaz get it. They know what type of player to recruit at Miami. Not going to get the 5* prima donnas that FSU recruits. Dogs. OOS or in state. Get dogs.

I think we should recruit coachable kids with attitude, whether it be country, urban or Mars. I dont mean an attitude problem either. For example Larry Bird was a skinny white kid from Hick Town, Indiana but was as cut throat and cold blooded as they came. Same goes for the flashy kid from Lansing, Michigan... Magic. Both found a way to be coachable, both had immense talent, both had a burning will to dominate, though in different ways. Thats my 2.

I live near the metroDC area, which includes northern VA and Maryland suburbs.
Lots of talent around these parts and it continues to grow with lots of west African and
Carribbean families moving into the area.
You have some strong private school programs such as DeMatha, Good Counsel, St.Johns,
Gonzaga plus some good public school programs.
Additionally, soFla in general, and Miami in particular, is very popular up here with the African-American
demographics.
Lots of talent which is getting poached heavily by PennState, Ohio State, Bama, and other big programs.

Seems to me it's semantics for the most part.

I think OP has been watching too much Warriors of Liberty City.

Players from "urban" environments (especially South FL) are regularly recruited to, and thrive in different environments, and vice-versa.

We waste our time recruiting OOS country boys whose families get scared and send them to FSU

The thing is we can get all the skill positions we need in South Florida. What we need from out of state is country boy OL types and kickers, punters, and QBs. As far as skill positions though. I agree get all of our OOS skill guys(which should only be a couple) straight from the PJs.

Not quite sure Cager is a city kid from Baltimore. I think he is a county kid to be honest and it's night and day.

Hes not from the hood. I got a cousin from Baltimore and I said yo this dude cager is from is a street dude from Bmore and he tried to fight Tyler Byrd in the parking lot. He said where in Bmore. I look it up and he says "LMFAO that is not the hood at all. That area is soft as fvcl."

The only OOS kid from the inner city is Thomas.

I tend to agree with this haha. He is a good 40 minutes outside the city up by Towson, unless of course he commuted to his HS from the city. But Baltimore County and Baltimore City are night and day and not even close to the same thing.

Interesting, what types of area were the DE who transferred to Washington and Chris Steele from, anyone know?
