Info on Seantrel

LoL and you guys are worried about Porter leaving. A kid that has yet to play season and with limited pass rushing.

I'm not even going to address this

LMFAO to all of you guys who were really sweating Vernon, Streeter, Washington, and Forston leaving early last year. Yeah right.

I told you all that they would stay because they weren't ready to make the jump yet. But all of you chicken little's remained worried and kept crying on the board. Good thing they stayed and played this season significantly improving their stock.

Lulz

It's a very deep OT draft this year. Considering Seantrel's injury background it's not remotely surprising he's projected as a 3rd day pick now. He has everything to gain by returning, showing he can put another healthy season under his belt, and improving his play. If his health/comfort improve enough for him to play LT next year, he'll rise that much further.

McShay doesnt know anything. I don't get why people view Seantrel as anything better than third day though. Hes started a handful of games and looked solid but what the **** has he done that makes people think hes a round 2-3 guy? Not that this would keep him from leaving. All that matters is that you were highly recruited at one point and are currently alive and eligible apparently. College performance is irrelevant.

The NFL U ****** culture is the reason why this **** happens here and nowhere else. So frustrating that our owns fans perpetuate it.

Really? You think we shouldn't perpetuate the thing that differentiates us from other schools and actually appeals to players? Yeah good idea. I'm sure lots of kids would want to come to a 7-5 team that doesn't produce NFL players....One of the more idiotic things I have read here. Yeah, we'd be better off if we were Wake Forest.

Well in case you havent noticed we actually havent been producing NFL players recently. But to the point, Its my opinion that we became a 7-5 program from what we once were because of the overemphasis on getting to the next level at the expense of playing for the school. How many guys have come through in the past 7-8 years that underachieved while here only to blow up at the combine? And yet our fans celebrate that ****.

We have a lot more to offer than celebrating the Calazy Campbell's of the world. But yea, I'm sure recruits read procanes.com.

All the guys we have in the NFL is a plus because it gives us good press for the most part when they do well (which is very often.) but it isn't something Golden himself can really sell. He didn't put those guys in the NFL. He can sell Wilkerson, and any other guys at Temple he put into the NFL. But he can't sell Miami's pro success. If a kid is dumb as rock he would fall for it, but a kid with some intelligence would do a couple minutes of research on google and find that former coaches put those guys in.

Golden needs to build his own reputation at Miami of putting a bunch of guys into the NFL, and then if they go on to become very good players and big time millionaires like the crop of alum in the NFL right now, then that's even better. In time Golden can sell pro success, but compared to the other coaches he is recruiting against he doesn't have much on them in that regard.

It's a double-edged sword at times. You have to recruit the right kids...if they have a dream of playing in the NFL, that's great. In Golden I trust.

Yea that Campbell guy who was an all american here and is one of the best DE in the NFL is really bad.. He just signed a huge contract last yam ear and had a tough year this year with a sorry cardinals team. Would you call Larry Fitz a bum? because he had a horrible year also.. Yea Sam Shields one of the best young cb's in the league and started on a super bowl team isn't impressive from being undrafted.. Hankerson,McCarthy, Brandon Harris starting right now for the Texans in the playoffs and the best OL on the best team in the AFC RT Orlando Franklin and pro bowl TE Jimmy Graham laughs at you. Yea i guess we haven't produced NFL players recently...

It's a stupid argument...you sell the **** out of the NFL. Didn't Beau specifically mention the NFL TE pipeline? Come on. During the UA game coverage they had a poll where they asked kids what they look for the most in schools, #1 was coaching, #2 was produces NFL players. These kids ultimately want to get to the league, UM historically does that.

Btw, teams like LSU sure seem to be struggling with all those guys leaving early every year. I'll take a 5 star kid who wants to play 3 years over a 3 star kid who wants to play 4 every time, and I bet so would Golden.

Todd McShay is very sharp and improving all the time. It used to be chic to knock him everywhere but posters on the draft specific boards have long since come around on him. There's still a lag on generic boards, reading conventional wisdom from 2-3 years ago.

Unfortunately, being a 3rd day pick, hasn't kept a lot of guys from this program from bolting early

I call it Rosenhaus-itis

FWIW, I think he probably would've been third round or higher. Think Mike Adams from Ohio State, who had a good rookie year for the Steelers.

But he's making the right decision. He needs to get stronger and prove he can be dependable for an entire season. However, his natural talent speaks for itself, and his motor is underrated. He plays hard and that will take him a long way.

wouldn't be the first cane to get the case of stupid and declare early. kid needs to put in major work over the summer to be a 1st/2nd rounder...
