In the midst of all this

I don't have to, dawg. It was called a TD on the field. and there was no protest from the nolies that were involved in the play. Besides, you're the one claiming he was down.
K dawg. I didn't dispute the result.
You completely missed my point again, but keep arguing. Dawg.

I’m not your servant. You look it up. We both already know that the call stood yet his knee was down before the ball crossed the plane.

My original point stands - 2017 was a mirage and this season is not - regardless of how cute you want to get on the Langham play.
I didn’t think so. So now posting a pic is what servants do? You just posted one voluntarily so why wouldn’t someone believe you wouldn’t post another?? And no we both don’t know that Semenole. It was a bang bang play reviewed many times including down the goal line without any evidence to overturn the call and we were on the road. Stop it, you went too far trying to make your point and exposed yourself and you mad at Canes fans for noticing it. The play was a judgement call and you 7 years removed, side with FSU. U have to deal with that not us.

Ref in proper position. DL had control. Ball over plain while knee down. TD stands (7 years later) UM wins. Noles are losers.

The call was reviewed and not confirmed; the call stood as called.

I'm not mad at Canes fans. I find it a waste of time because you and a few others are focusing on a micro detail in order to prove that you're right while glossing over the real point that I've repeated several times now. You don't like that detail? Fine, there were several other bounces and luck plays that went our way that year. I'm tired of hearing "this year is just like 2017" because it's not. Even most of the people who are picking at me mentioning that play agree with the bigger point. I wish I hadn't included that photo because it took away from the real point I was trying to make.

The bolded part is the part I object to. It's a false statement. I thought his knee was down prior to the ball crossing the plane. I'm also glad the refs called it as they did. Why is it so difficult for people like you to understand that more than one concept is being discussed simultaneously? Why does it have to be that I "sided with FSU"? Is that one play the reason I object to the 2017=2024 sentiment? No. It was a conglomeration of plays, calls and bounces that went our way that season, followed by the last three games going down the drain in an ugly manner. That's it. End of discussion.

I agree with that bolded part.

How long was his knee down before that photo was taken? IF his knee JUST touched as the pic was take, it's a TD. If his knee hit the ground 0.2 second prior and the ball had not yet crossed the plane, it's not. Hence, the call stood as called on the field. If you changed the uniforms and team names to the London Sillynannies and the Washington Generals, people on this forum would be a lot less likely to get so bent about what I said. Alas, it's not. It's the Canes vs the Losers. Again, all that said, disputing this particular play was not the reason I brought it up, but thanks CiS!

'Noles are losers.'

Love.

I'd share a drink with you my man. You're good in my book!

His knee was down but def nothing to show that he didn’t cross the line… and they called it a touchdown on the field. Additionally, Miami had momentum on that drive, 1 timeout, and the ball at the one yard line if they don’t call it a touchdown…. What the **** are we arguing here?

The 2017 team had a limited offensive, injuries, an exciting but flawed defense, and **** ton of heart…. 2024 team has one of greatest offenses we’ve ever seen, a Heismen contender, a not so good defense, but talent littered everywhere….

I know we’ve been ****ting on the defense (myself included), but I seriously see something there… if Guidry gets his **** even half way together…. This team could become something scary to finish the season.

Funny you should say that, I was literally just looking at travel to Atlanta for new years.

How many more chances are we gonna get to see this? Know what I mean? You hot the nail on the head.

YO!!! my dude, you're going up from the city correct? I'm debating flying or train, flights were relatively inexpensive but just shot up, but man 5-6 hour commute sucks. Haven't pulled any triggers as of yet but between all estimated costs it's turning out to be a pricey endeavor. Are you staying overnight? Train?

Yooo. Nah, I'm actually coming up from CT (close enough). I'm originally from NY. I still work in the Bronx, and hang out down here, but I can't claim it anymore. Those are the rules 😭

I used to drive a cab while I worked my way through college, so long rides are a breeze for me. I prefer to stay up there from Friday to Sunday. But I'm considering driving up early on Saturday morning (I'm usually up by four). I don't plan to stay in a very classy hotel when I am up there. Never been to Syracuse, but I imagine it being just how it sounds, miserable - lol.

PIB will be obtaining relatively modest accommodations, but will 100% be dining at Dinosaur BBQ.

Open invite to the board to join.

I truly hope everyone can really appreciate what we are seeing here strictly on a W-L basis. When I was 14, I watched us drum Nebraska and I fell in love. Since then I have felt nothing but pain, false hope, acceptance of mediocrity, rooting for “hard workers” and “true canes”.

Gone are the days of Gavin Harden crying on the sideline on crutches because we are getting our **** pushed in by fsu at home. Gone are the days of celebrating Jalen grimble and Latwan Anderson. Getting a Stacy coley knowing we don’t ******* deserve him, and he’s wasting his career here, but being so grateful for that while he puts the team on his back to single handedly beat Pitt. Gone are the days of Robert Marve throwing it 2 inches 2 high to kayne farquhson, while UNC celebrates on the baseball diamond.

I want you all to know that beyond this, as much as I hope for some consistency and another legendary run, we could NEVER see another heisman player here. Or even see 11+ wins. Cam Ward is the chosen one, that has come here to do what’s right. Enjoy it. Relish in it. Love it.

Everyone is saying this feels like 2017.

Malik rosier was our qb. No disrespect to Malik. He’s no heisman front runner breaking every record in the book. This is different.

This is the U.

Ah, ok ok. That all makes sense, you still a NY'er in my book, especially while working in the BX lol. I'm hoping a bud heads up with me, but there's a chance I set up a buz meeting up there on Monday and can write off some of the expenses if I stay past the weekend. I've never been up there, and I can't imagine it's very exciting city, but the state is dumping funds in the greater Syracuse area in general, so we'll see whats up. If I make it up though I'll dm you see where you at.

Been a lot of folks over the past 20 years who became fans after they got admitted.

To a mental institution.
In 1996, the University of Miami was the only college I even applied to, as I was born and raised in South Florida to a crazed Dolphin/Cane fan who had me at what was apparently the best (worst?) time to become a fan. I should sue the school on behalf of my entire family for Infliction and Negligent Infliction of Emotional Distress.

I could almost hear the inspiring music striking up in the background as I read this, until you said Cam Ward is the chosen one.

He's very, very good and the reason we're undefeated this year, but Cristobal is clearly building something to last.
Both things can be true.

All things can be possible with Cam.

But Mario can still be building something to last.

Maybe this dream doesn’t end after January.

The wildest thing to me is it’s one thing to be winning games but another entirely to not be a fraudulent team.
Yes, this team could/should have losses, but also no defense in America wouldn’t pucker up thinking of having to defend us for 60 minutes

Come on brah...Take the L on this point and let's get back to celebrating this year's team and success. You asked for the angle and he provided it
Just saying...

Well at least you had 2000-2002. I was 18 in 2000. It was glorious. We have some young bucks on this board who became fans in the neighborhood of 2006. Can you imagine? Poor people.
