how far are we from being at Bama's level?

Will it ever happen again?

Watching their OL just push around ND's D like a bunch of rag dolls was impressive.

I want an RB like Lacy. Kid is a beast.

Watching Cooper be open on almost every throwing play hurts. He will only get better.

Give us two more years, and I think we will be at that level.

Maybe not winning 3 NCs in 4 years, but I think we will be competing for one every year.

That time can't get here soon enough.

People are going to get carried away with this Alabama team....ND was lucky, and very overrated.

As long as it takes for us to get some bad asses on the DL. That's it. Not even worried about any other position at UM.

I want to be elite again so bad mane

I want that feeling, please Al let's take that next step like we all expect.

ND had no business in the NC game. It looked like Alabama was playing Navy.

That secondary got exposed....it's what should have done to them. Alabama had a great game plan, and some great play calling. ND was on there heals right off the bat. That's what you might have seen if Dorsett makes one of those catches to start the game.

ND's vaunted defense look very overrated tonight, as did Manti Te'o.

We don't need to be at Bama's level. We just need our own Johnny Manziel. They are beatable.

5 years ago Bama sucked. Let that sink in.

this. They were *** in the year 2006. *** I tell you. ***.
Saban comes in and in 09 they won big. It takes a good coach.
We have that coach. Golden is the man with the plan to the promised land. Enjoy the ride

It really depends on whether or not we can accumulate and match their level of talent on the DL and OL. If we can do that, we would be a year or 2 away. We already have the other pieces with a great HC and future star QB.

One monster recruiting class changes everything. Alabama's 2008 class took them to another level. So did Florida's 2006 class and Texas' 2001 class. It only takes one class (heavy on OL and DL studs) and that's what we need.

2-3 years.
The O-Line has to have All-American beasts
The D-Line has to have at least someone who can get 6 sacks and a monster at DT

Don't think anyone can actually copy or surpass Bama's level for some time. They're like the Patriots of college football. Good coach, good staff, good recruiting, and of course the players. Even at their worst they still look good. If you don't have the coaches that Bama has to max out talent or at least scratch the surface of talent you're not going to be on their level.
