2026 Immanuel Iheanacho 5* OL from Rockville, MD

With the 2025 recruiting cycle officially in the books this past Wednesday, the calendar has wholly flipped to the 2026 class. With that in mind, Iheanacho, the No. 2 overall recruit and top-ranked player from Maryland, told On3 that he is hoping to cut down his list of schools to “10 or 11” next week.

After that, his attention will turn to visits and a hopeful August commitment. As of now, Iheanacho has five schools that he is certain he plans to officially visit: Georgia, Penn State, Oregon, Alabama and Maryland. Then, there are three fighting for his sixth OV: LSU, Miami and Texas A&M.
So apparently you can compare something to the SEC

🤷🏾‍♂️
Not expecting him but get the OV, cut the check, and see what happens. Long way to go.

It is kind of odd to see a kid from one of the most academically prestigious schools not considering more academically elite schools, especially in this case where he is of West African descent. No GTs, Stanfords, Michigan, Cals or Duke.

I mean 4 of the 5 he listed that are getting visits are constantly getting guys out of DC and probably have been recruiting him for 2-3 years now and the other is UGA.

he aint going to college to play school my brother lol

I know many West Africans in the DMZ area through work and friends. They may be into sports and I know some whose kids played HS sports, including one who played hoops at this school and trust me that academics is equally important to them. Georgetown Prep have many distinguished alums, including two of them currently sitting in the Supreme Court. This is not Chaminade Madonna, STA or even nearby DeMatha.
