Why is this being downvoted? It's 100% true. I think we will have a good class regardless if we only win 9 again, but the fact of the matter is that we need to win 10+ and finally win the coastal if we want to have an elite class. We have to take that next step to secure this top 5 class.

I hoped his coaching would be above Butch's to make up for not getting all those 1st round picks a few years with Butch would have brought. Now we are relying on Mark's RECRUITING to cover up for choking 4 game in a row. That makes me nervous. He has got to win this year and beating noles is absolutely mandatory. It was on everybody. Not just one party. You can point to bad things ol and qb performance, play calling, and 3 games in 12 days playing with so many young players

Agreed... Kaaya throws a simple pass to Njoku vs UNC, we win that game even with that BS touchdown for them. Our players block for a **** PAT, we very likely beat FSU. Jamal Carter recovers that fumble, we win at ND. VT rolled us. ND was the one game we truly came out like **** in the first half, but our adjustments got us right there in the second. There was blame to go around, but those were some simple plays that just were not made.

LT will be McDermott. Don't know who the backup is. I would say DogFlu in picture but he's coming back from injury and there are rumors he might transfer if he doesn't crack starting rotation. Hopefully, George Brown shows us something but i've read he's a project as well. Other left tackle prospects are Tre Johnson and Hillery.

It was on everybody. Not just one party. You can point to bad things ol and qb performance, play calling, and 3 games in 12 days playing with so many young players

The buck only stops in one place, the top. There was some good last year. We finished winning and finally won an bowl game, so I don't mean to be complete downer, but we lost to noles on last minute kick!!!!!! That is not a feeling I want to ever share with those smucks. We should have won that game, period. Losing was not acceptable.

As I recall, the defense played mush better than last year and the offense, Mark and son's specialty, played worse. Listen, I've was big donor back to Howard's day, I know Mark, I like him, he is one fine man, and the University bet the farm on the guy and probably had no choice but to. He was a good choice but not my choice. Our QB regressed and offense with him. Not good look for Mark at all. Kool turned the Dline completely around. Diaz did must better than I expected with defense with three freshmen at LB(fantastic freshmen true.). We did Mark's side on the ball not match up?

Golden also rarely put players in a position to succeed. Apples and oranges. However, at a certain point players have to make plays. Richt called a perfect pass play, Kaaya threw it four yards behind Njoku. Players have been blocking for PATs for years, yet let FSU alright through. I'll give you the ND game after that abhorrent first half. But, the other two, the players need to step up (not to mention the officiating ******* us on clear plays).

OL's across the board more or less need to be great at one on one pass pro. Not just the LT. you can always chip with a TE or have a back help. It is the interior guys who need to keep the pocket from collapsing from the middle. That is what Kaaya kept seeing. LT was not the problem. The pocket coming strait at Kaaya prevented him from seeing his progressions.

It is a team game and our overall team will be better. But let's be clear that the 2018 class will be of little help overall with the FSU and Clemsons of the world until the 2020 season. A few guys here and there but overall we need the guys currently on the team to take that step up to win 10 games a season over the next 3 seasons. 2020 is when we make a real run in the playoffs.

Was it Johnson's or the players fault that we lost the first two NC(against Tenn and psu) shots he had? All those great players and we could not win a bowl game his first three years. Players party to much in NO, Vinnie hurt in scooter accident or great young coach who had not learned how to coach a Bowl Game yet got his clocked cleaned by too seasoned vets of Bowl Games? Mark is 100,000,000,000 time better than Al. That does not mean is was good enough last year or will be in the future. In the end, he lost 4 games in a row, period. I will not blame kids when men are paid big $$$ to win but don't. He needs to up his game and do it NOW. The good news is I am certain he has "more" game to go too, unlike Golden who was maxed out once he said, "Are you kidding me!"
