Im not saying be happy but is this really any different

Yeah it is different. I totally expected us to be a bad team. I never expected, nor ever will expect that we have the THIRD WORST DEFENSE in college football. Considering that didn't even happen when we were on probation, I don't think my disgust is unwarranted. The Canes are NOT who we thought they were OP, unless you thought the defense would be as bad as 118/120. If that's so, then you are a prophet. I don't believe that's the case though.

Did you expect Morris to be playing as well as he has? Did you expect Duke to be a productive as he's been? Did you expect to the offense to put up #'s never seen before at Miami? We all know the D sucks, but why not point out any positives?

I did expect Morris to play this well, as I have been a huge Morris guy since the Jacory days (in part thanks to DMoney). I think everyone expected Duke to be Duke, but he has exceeded my initial expectations (though in fairness, he hasn't done anything against the legit defenses we have played). The offensive numbers do come as a complete shocker to me.

Just a question but if you expected Morris and Duke to be that good, why are the offensive numbers shocking?

Because expecting two players do be good doesn't necessarily translate into thinking that the offense is going to shatter records that have been there for decades? I mean did YOU think that just because Morris had high hopes going into the season that he was going to break Toretta's record?

Not sure you can expect someone to break a single game record but I thought we would score around 30 a game which is exactly where we are at.

wow....excellent prediction then. +1,000,000,000,000 interweb points for you.

I don't think anyone expected the D to be "this bad" .... but anyone with some sense should have known we were going to be worse than last year, which wasn't a great D to begin with. Right now we're getting killed up front and we're playing on the back end like we're expecting to get killed up front. I don't agree with it, but if that's how golden and d'onof do it, what can you do, especially when they don't even have one class of Jrs in the program. I don't think any amount of scheming is going to stop us from getting killed in the trenches, and while we could and probably should play tighter, people would then start *****ing about getting beat over the top... No one is ever going to be happy, if we blitz more and get lit up, it's a problem, if we sit back and get lit up...it's a problem.. at this point we have to realize we don't have the horses to play the type of D we need and that Golden and Donof are used to.

Temple Rankings

Total D - Scoring D
Year 5 - 2010 16th 16th (19 a game)
2009 32nd 39th (22)
2008 81st 48th (23)
2007 44th 53rd (26)
Year 1 - 2006 117th 118 (41)

That looks like an upward trend over 5 seasons at temple. Now, we will get much better talent than temple does, so it shouldn't take 5 years to have a solid D here.. but I don't think they just got lucky at temple.. that was marked improvement each and every season.. With guys they recruited and developed.

Get off your 118/120 stat it's the only thing u say. The only argument u make. Bro wake the **** up and see that we have guys having brain farts out there taking horrible angles and forgetting assignments. Not to mention the fact yea were a bunch of ******* bottom of the food chain freshman on D. You keep going after Donofario and his scheme, at what point are the PLAYERS held accountable? This D doesn't even have a real leader .
