Reckon not.

If we took the exact, same team from last year, and just eliminated the stupid penalties - we'd be 4-0.

So I'm not completely buying that the entire team tanked between last season and what we're looking at this season.

There's PROgress - and there's REgress.

What have we actually done? For real?

We’ve lost to TWO in the same season before. Let’s not act like this is unprecedented. At least this time it wasn't to a team within our own city!

All seriousness, I’ve been less negative than I would have been if this was still the previous corches. In part, I’m tired of it all but mostly we’re in this for the long haul with Mario. Only time will tell where this ship goes.

I don't even get why people would even be all mopey about Cristobal regardless - even if you don't think he was the right hire. Like you KNOW he will be here 5 years no matter what. So what use is it to ***** about it this much. I couldn't do it. I'd rather have a positive outlook. He's an elite recruiter. We have a lot of money going into the program now. This was never going to be a 1 year restart - and no matter what happens this year it doesn't impact the long-term outlook of the direction of this program which is undoubtedly upwards.

247 has its share of complainers but it’s never as ugly as it can get here. It’s not allowed on that board.

I don’t really pay much attention to Ferman’s new site- it’s always been negative and a few posters try to control the narrative there.

A portion of the fan base is just miserable right now. Seems like the longer people have to rewatch and rehash last week the worse it gets.
Anything less than a blowout win over MTSU would have created the same feelings, though…

People just NEVER expected to be having these conversations 4 games in…..

This is not the same energy I heard from when Manny was here. And this loss to MTSU was worse than any of Manny’s, not to mention we’ve looked putrid the the last three games.

Yes.. once Mario can get 3 straight top 10 classes only then will he have the talent to overcome his coaching deficiencies to beat an experienced school like MTSU.
