If Miami wins ACC Championship- Peach Bowl

College Football Playoff: • All teams under consideration for hosting first-round games have indicated they will do so on campus.

• Selection Committee will not manipulate bracket to avoid rematches.

Semifinals will be placed by proximity (higher-seeded team) location.

Miami very well could play in the Orange Bowl for the semifinals game if let’s say Oregon gets the #1 seed and plays in Cotton Bowl

Correct. The semifinal games are the Orange Bowl and the Cotton Bowl. There is a VERY strong chance that if somehow we can get into the semifinals, the game will be at Hard Rock.

WTF could possibly be lame about that? It's the closest game to Miami.
I certainly hope that's not the permanent bowl system. There is something to be said about the spice of exoticism going to a bowl game far away. With the grand diminishment of bowl games over recent decades I think there is a little magic that can still be found. Wouldn't you like to take the Fiesta Bowl back? Or reminisce over a Big 12 corpse at the Rose bowl?

Is it just me or does the right side of the bracket look FAR easier than the left side? Got Texas, Ohio state , Tamu , Clemson, UGA all on same side, then Oregon , two G5s, and two massively overrated teams in ND and PSU. Might as well just give Oregon a bye to the national championship game. I want the 5 seed in this scenario.

I could see us Being the 4th seed if we play SMU in ACCG

For certain wherever Miami needs to be seeded to reduce the chances of that scenario is where we will be placed

The 5 seed is a sneaky good spot. You get a home game vs the G5 representative (which will be the 12 seed).

Then you get a quarterfinal game against the worst P4 champion, which will likely be the Big 12.

Could easily be the 5 seed and be pretty significantly favored in both your games to the semifinals.

Because of this is why I see them re-seeding after the first round moving forward. SEC teams will complain (the ncaa will obviously listen) that they are getting the worst draws.
