people on here really think that we are an attractive gig. We have a horrible fan base, all our fans do is talk **** on an internet board, wont attend the games, and psychologically are stuck in 2000/2001

We still do put player in the league, regardless of how bad the coaching staff has been or is. For coaching, the opportunity to get into the South Florida recruiting area and build relationships would do them well when they leave; so for that reason, it isn't one of the worst gigs. I think the school would be considered a top 25 coaching opportunity still if every coaching gig was open and selection when that way.

I don't know what makes people think any of these guys would ever come here.

Strong turned down Florida, a place he coached at for a long time before going to Louisville.

Butch would be seen as a pariah by the administration. They want it clean around here and Butch is coming off his own NCAA scandal.

Schiano already turned us down once and even if he returned, he likely will be looking to move up again. Maybe someone in the NFL will bring him in as a DC.
