People play slow.

I've always read Groh's defense is extremely complex to learn. I'd love to scrap this gap read, put in a simple aggressive style D and let our athletes make plays.. Agree with your entire post though. Not advocating for Coach D.. I just think there's an underlying issue that is a much bigger problem.

Yeah, it's that our coaches can't get the kids to play hard for them. The players quit. They've gotten blown out in every big game they've played in the last few years, so that's what you'd expect.

but retains Coach D, would that be acceptable? Let's assume a few assistants are let go. (Kehoe "retires" & Jethro gets the boot) Personally I think the system is more flawed than the coordinator.
