A native of Miami, Harris played three years as a defensive back at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis. He and his wife, Chonita, have two sons – Brandon and Tim Jr. The Harris family has Hurricane ties: Brandon is a member of the Houston Texans and Tim Jr. was an All-American and ACC champion for Miami’s men’s track and field team.

Peace made. Fence mended. I think this is good. Didn't like Ice running his mouth last year, but I understood he need a little flesh. That is over and we just landed one of the best DE's ever in So FL in Chad, so everything is fine. Al has done excellent job re-establishing connect with so many HS that had been loss over the years. Ice should help expand that shore that up.

It seems like this is something to be excited about, but I can't shake the fact that we didn't seem to notice any huge bump from this the first go-round, and in fact weren't there rumors of other Dade/Broward coaches getting their feelings hurt and/or being jealous that they didn't get a cushy gig also?
