I wouldn’t count on these signees actually enrolling...

That was 30+ years ago... it’s a different time
We can still refue to let a kid out of his LOI. I see no reason not to. He can ***** and moan but we can hold him to it. If he doesn't like it he can not enroll or he can enroll and enter the portal.

Contracts are contracts, rules are rules, same as they were thirty years ago.

Is there an exception if the head coach leaves? Did Seantrel Henderson ever sign a LOI with USC? I think he might have gotten a release after one of the head coaches left, maybe Pete Carroll.

it was bc of the NCAA stuff that he was allowed to leave i think. all their seniors were

Didnt mark richt leave after national signing day early period and not one kid bounced. Maybe im wrong. That would be worse than a hwad coach that cant past the 40 yard line against lousiana tech. If they believe in dan enos then maybe we should let the kid go hes not too smart

Not a precedent but why would a school not let a kid out of an LOI if he chose to ask to be? Bru McCoy did this last year if I’m not mistaken asking USC to release him out of his LOI and he went to Texas, then subsequently wanted back at USC. If a player wants out why would you hold them hostage?

If we let them out after signing, we can't replace that spot.

They aren't going to let anyone out of their LOI.

If it happens so be it...You think the kids liked 3 thru 3 quarters vs. ****** FIU defense, and a shutout against that Vicious LaTech defense?

No one was asking Enos to be perfect this year...Just show a pulse. His offense played about 2.5 games this season, and none were against a good d, and Louisville d is right there with BC as worst in conference. And he also absolutely **** against defenses that were mediocre or even bad as well.

Enos out is a plus.
Hel1, there may be more interest in the program with an innovative OC here.

Hate pessimistic *** fans, first it was will they sign or flip somewhere else on all the months leading up to early signing day and now its will they back out of an Loi because the worst oc in football just got fired. Gtfoh with the dumbsh*t

Canes 1968 is a horrible poster who goes on negativity jags, then he gets exposed, then he disappears for months, before eventually returning to troll us again. Ignore him, he is literally the worst.

A coach getting fired is not in the stipulations allowing a signee out of the contract. It would have to be a mutual agreement.

At what time can a new signee enter the portal?

(Legit ask) Hoping the new kids stick but with coaching changes (and these are obviously warranted) it’s inevitable that some kids bolt.

Quit being pessimistic man

realistic man.

I’m sure we will both lose some kids to the portal and also acquire some kids thru the portal.
It’s not realistic, Miami is not the only team that goes through coaching changes in December. WHEN has it happened where you release kids from their loi due to a coaching change? Munoz from last year doesn’t count, he was dropped. We won’t lose anyone from our signed class but I do Think we see some kids enter the portal for sure, it happens

Fair chance some of them request to be let out of their LOI’s and are successful.
firing an oc/dc is reason to let guys out, very seldom do guys get let out of loi for position coaches which cange year to year all the time. since didn't really land a cb other then Clarke that's not an issue, and the others on offense weren't connected to enos anyways. if go out hire a spread oc why would any kid want out even Vandyke. we all know a spread offense is way to go and is better for everyone involved.
