I think TVD is pretty confident about the job being his.
Go figure!

You are asking dumb questions such as when can a new signee enter the portal. On the team yes we lose kids to the portal probably but out of the signees? NoSo you don’t agree we will both lose and gain kids thru the portal?
Just stop bro. Quit.

Let's hope he comes in and is clearly the best qb. I can't imagine JW, N'k or Tate leading the team next year. OC, QB and OL were the areas of concern coming in and nothing has changed going into next year. Whoever remains better find a way to fix the QB and OL or nothing changes even with a top OC hire.I don't like blaming players and I haven't seen Matocha play, but based on what I have seen of the QB's TVD is the best QB on the roster and he hasn't stepped foot on campus. Absolutely soft QB play and preparation. If I were TVD I'd be thinking I am about to start for 4 years at Miami.
Fair chance some of them request to be let out of their LOI’s and are successful.
If we let them out after signing, we can't replace that spot.
They aren't going to let anyone out of their LOI.
I'm not so sure about this...
With the early signing period, we COULD actually replace folks who want out by signing others by Feb. Additionally, there is some verbiage that LOI's only become binding once a student athlete ENROLLS. None of our signees have enrolled yet. If signees do not enroll, their LOI's may be able to be voided. It would not be a good look for UM to try and keep a kid (hold hostage). All they would have to do is enter the portal and petition for a waiver. Worst case, they sit out a year (redshirt) and go play somewhere else the following year. Miami gets zero benefit by keeping a kid who doesn't want to be here. Holding that person up would ensure that we have one less spot to offer due to initial counter rules.
