I wouldn’t count on these signees actually enrolling...

that’s choice coming from you. I’m just stating fact. If kids want out, which who could blame them if they did, firing a bunch of coaches after signing day can be that out.
Miami is not the only program to make changes with their staff before or after a bowl game it happens. Offensive recruits should be happy that enos is gone, come tf on...

I think TVD is pretty confident about the job being his.

I don't like blaming players and I haven't seen Matocha play, but based on what I have seen of the QB's TVD is the best QB on the roster and he hasn't stepped foot on campus. Absolutely soft QB play and preparation. If I were TVD I'd be thinking I am about to start for 4 years at Miami.

Fair chance some of them request to be let out of their LOI’s and are successful.

Upon what grounds would they be successful?
Is there some precedent you’re aware of wherein a school fires coaches and that allows recruits that have signed to be let out of their LOI?
What other reasons do you think exist that would allow the recruit to be let out of his LOI and is there any precedent for those reasons?

Not a precedent but why would a school not let a kid out of an LOI if he chose to ask to be? Bru McCoy did this last year if I’m not mistaken asking USC to release him out of his LOI and he went to Texas, then subsequently wanted back at USC. If a player wants out why would you hold them hostage?

I want each kid to stay so the next coach has talent to work with and bring this team back where it belongs.

I also think each kid should (and could) get a lot of early playing time based on the lack of results our current team is producing.

Hmmm..... I don’t think most coaches and schools would let a kid out of a LOI absent extenuating circumstances because it makes the LOI worthless and schools are left with shortages in numbers on their rosters without any meaningful recourse to re-stack their rosters. There needs to be a certain finality in the process.

The only exception that now comes to mind was that DB that signed here and returned to New Jerry to play for Rutgers, supposedly to be close to an ill family member. Ky Hester or something like that was his name and Apparently that was an extenuating circumstance.

We refused to let Darren Krein out of his LOI after Jimmy Johnson and most of the defensive staff resigned to go to the Cowboys. Krein was ****ed but we refused to release him.

So, to use your words, I guess we held him "hostage". I think he wanted to go back west to ASU. He had no choice but to stay but he did end up with a couple of NC rings.

Is there an exception if the head coach leaves? Did Seantrel Henderson ever sign a LOI with USC? I think he might have gotten a release after one of the head coaches left, maybe Pete Carroll.

That was 30+ years ago... it’s a different time
