Bill Miller....

I know a lot has been said already in the post-mortem of the Duke debacle, so there's not much else to say. But I am reminded of what took place in the 1998 season when our defense fell apart late that season and Butch fired Bill Miller as the DC and brought in a bright young assistant by the name of Greg Schiano.

Now, the dynamic here is D'onofrio just happens to be Al Golden's best friend. Will he pull the trigger Ol' Yeller?

Im a Golden guy( yeah, yeah, mock me, I'm a hopeless optimist), but I think if he's got a decision to make with this defensive staff as a whole. If no changes are made, well, then that's on the CEO of this program.

This much is clear, the honeymoon is over....

Golden has to do what's best for him and the program.

I can't believe he will risk another awful defensive team next year. The players will be the same next year, plus a few freshman that will have minimal impact.

The only way to change this disaster is to change the coaches.

Not a chance, this is Golden's D as well. We are screwed, I sat there on Saturday and couldn't believe my eyes. I have never seen such a passive, slow, unmotiviated Miami defense in my entire life. They play with absolutely zero passion and fire, it is just sickening.

They play with zero passion and fire because they've quit. They're revolting against Duh and Al Tin through their actions on the field. They know this sht is busted and that their corches have no answers to fix it. As a result, they've quit.

I will bet that Ohnofrio is fired after this year with anyone willing to take me up on it.

Name your price.

Not happening without Al leaving as well

I disagree. I think Al is much smarter than we are all giving him credit for. He knows his job will be in jeopardy if he doesn't make the change. D'Onofrio is as good as gone. He will let him find another job elsewhere without having to fire him.

Maybe he is trying to support Coach D rather than SHlT on him so he can find another job. I don't know and don't care what he says, I care what he actually does. If he does keep him, then whoa nelly!

I wouldn't be surprised if Golden believes the talent is holding back the scheme and wants another year or two with this class coming in to give him and Dorito another shot at implementing it. Dorito will be here next year and you will see another terrible defense.

Shanon was a **** of a lot better dc than No Frio...its not even close.

There has to be a change, either co with a co-dc or something or straight on overhaul on that side of the ball....their will be gigs opening up where No Frio can put his hat in.

I Agree Shannon was a really good DC and loved him in that position
