I hope you guys are listening to Al on postgame show.

Some of the younger people here don't understand what Notre Dame means. Next week's game is the biggest game we have played in 7 years.

It's not the same world we grew up in, I'm afraid. Until we can win the ACC our biggest game is VT.

Duke and Virginia are so putrid that they are pretty much automatic wins. UNC and USF are bad, but they aren't so bad that they couldn't beat us if we play poorly. I've still penciled in ND, FSU and Va Tech as losses unless we somehow improve dramatically. So I see anywhere from 6-6 on the low end to 8-4 at the high end. Not bad.

Exactly how I feel.

I think ND is overrated. And that's good. I want them overconfident. I want their fans overconfident. I want Corso and herbie and all the rest talking them up. Then we will unleash ****...

People need to remain realistic here. Were going to lose at least one more game that we had no business losing. This is still a very young team, prone to mental breakdowns, and our youth and depth issues can easily bite us in the @ss with a few key injuries. I expected 6-6 this year, so 7-5 would be a pretty decent year overall. I would be doing backflips if we go 8-4, but I dont see it. I think we drop one of UNC or UVa. There are NO easy wins when you have a young team like this. These kids can lose focus and suddenly everything goes to sh*t. We still dont have much in the way of upper classmen leadership on this team, and our D is a trainwreck. Its great to get 3, 4 and 5 turnovers in a game, but we need to be able to STOP a F8cking drive at some point. Most teams we have played have barely punted against us. You get a good team that doesnt make mistakes, and we are going to be in a shootout and have to put up massive points.

Today was a great win, but people need to keep their expectations in check. We are a team of Frosh and Sophs for the most part. We are 1-2 years away from being serious contenders again, so lets not set ourselves up for a meltdown here in a few weeks, when reality kicks back in. Brick by brick, week by week, as long as the team is showing fight, heart, and improving, that's where we need to be. But people talking about 9-3 I think are living in a dream world.

That's what we said about UVa last year too. You never underestimate a team. We have a very young team that can sputter any given week. We are also very thin at many key positions. UVa, UNC, and USF are all teams that can beat us if we sleep on them.

Lmao Coach what did you think about the game winning throw? HOLY ****! :ibisroflmao::ibisroflmao:

I like the part at the end where he says that the kids are embracing the south florida heat. "Our kids are starting the treat the Sun as our ally, not our enemy."

USF or UNC at home are games we should win imo. I dont think its unrealistic to expect 9-3 amd dropping one we arent supposed to and gonig 8-4

6-6 would be a terrible collapse imo.

VT sucks. Why should that be a loss??

They have two weeks to prepare for us.

They won't be overconfident.

They ARE overrated and very beatable.

Our strengths match up their strengths.

Bad O versus or Bad D.

Good O versus Good D.

For us to win our O has to win their matchup #1 period.

Our D is not good enough to keep them from scoring 20 points.
