Please note that while that will ADD some additional seats that will be close to the field, lowering the field means that EVERY SINGLE EXISTING SEAT IN THE ENTIRE STADIUM will become even FURTHER away from the action than it is now.
They are literally making 80k (or whatever) seats worse in order to add VIP seats close to the field.
The additional distance for existing seats is minimal (much less than 5 feet). The additional seats will obviously - at least to me - go to people who are already sitting as close as they can. That means everyone moves down a few rows. Couple that with eliminating the upper deck corners, and removing the farthest upper deck seats (that's the plan), and you have an average seat closer to the field. IMO, it will be a big difference. SucksAtLife still sucks because it's still a soccer stadium. But, it will be better than it was. Please note that while that will ADD some additional seats that will be close to the field, lowering the field means that EVERY SINGLE EXISTING SEAT IN THE ENTIRE STADIUM will become even FURTHER away from the action than it is now.
