I find it odd Restrepo…

Great player but his persona always seemed a bit contrived. Never did seem to be a favorite among his teammates either.

Man this is how false narratives start to pick up steam.

Serious question…what do you base your statement on?
The claim of not being loved by his teammates is fairly well known and not completely unsubstantiated. He and TVD were famous butt buddies (in the parlance of Randy Shannon's time), and apparently other players were butt hurt about their clique-ish relationship. If someone disgs enough they will find the related posts in here somewhere. Running joke about he and TVD on the golf course. Guess we'd all rather play dumb lol.

The guy worked his *** off and appeared to do most things right, but to hear Mario gush about Cam Ward's DNA this week when asked about his decision to play felt somewhat like a possible slight toward Restrepo but that's purely speculative on my part, and if he winds up playing against ISU then it's all *******s anyway.

i'm all for him doing what's best for him ... but despite his career accolades and despite what some posters are saying ... this a is big game for us ... we can finish this thing on a high note ... reach some milestones we haven't reached in almost 10 years and catapult us into spring recruiting ... IMO, a diehard cane leaves it better than he found it and finishes the job in the process ... i realize everyone doesn't see it as i do ... it's a thin line, but he loses some shine with me

and the elephant in the room is a top 5 pick is playing ... that pretty much kills anyone elses argument IMO ... unless he's injured of course
X was a huge part for us to even be in this position. So to me its selfish for us to see him give everything for 4 years, help set the culture, play at the highest level of any wr in our history has and now we questioning his character because of a bowl game? Thats insane

These milestones are made up by us, X has done nothing but great for this program he isn’t the reason we haven’t hit these milestones. He has helped us reach these milestones way more than he will hurt by not playing.

We can respect the guys who are playing but understand its their decisions and at this point everyone should do what they feel is best for them. Its that simple, if X doesn’t want to play we should respect that, same as we do with the guys who are playing

Him losing shine would be for other’s selfish reasons, he gave four years so now he can be selfish for himself. He earned that

If a player like X wasn’t a favorite amongst his teammates kick every single teammate off the team immediately

That boy strepo gave us plenty of great plays but he cost us that game against cuse and that’s the last memory of his I’ll ever have of him in a cane jersey it’s not **** him but it’s definitely bitter sweet
Player who had 9 catches for 148 and a td cost us a game that we led 21-0 and defense gave up 35 points and nearly 500 yards.

He’s def a fan favorite, the amount of people that always wanted pictures with him was always up there with Cam Ward

This is just moronic.

Haven’t read this whole thread, but in light of Colorado getting “record setting” (their words, not mine) insurance coverage for Shedeur and Hunter … I wouldn’t hate on X for not playing today if he didn’t think the coverage was adequate for his potential nfl career earnings.
