I'd rather win NCST. As long as we take care of business against NCST, i'd be just fine with a loss to ND, even a blowout.
I said this after the KSU game, half-joking and half-serious - if DP stays healthy we will win the ACC Coastal. Of course, he ended up getting hurt, but we still won at GT without him. That ACCCG is 1000x more important than winning one game, no matter if it's ND.
And as far as DP and Kirby go healthwise, i would rather have them fully healed so they can contribute during the meat of our ACC schedule, than have them play in an ultimately meaningless ND game at anything less than 100%. Rest em till UNC.
Outside the ACC, next year few will recall who in the **** won the Coastal.
BUT! A year from now, everyone in the nation will recall Miami beating Notre Dame.
Who gives a $#!T about winning the Coastal this year - really! Would it be nice? Of course. But to suggest that beating Notre Dame would somehow take secondary interest is completely upside down.
Guys, local coastal is cool.
National is much, much better.
But I understand. So many of you are pups and can't recall firsthand the good old days. Trust me - you take care of business on a national level and the regional levels tend to start taking care of themselves.
