I dont care about ND.

If we are talking about beating ND, then we are going to straight mangle NCST. And if we are talking about beating Notre Dame, beating FSU would be in the realm of possibilities. Notre Dame is legit. NCST = GTish. Let's see how quick the kids keep growing. At the pace they are on, we might even have a chance...

I'll give ND some credit. They've done a nice job so far but they are not in FSU's class. FSU looks like an SEC team on their O & D lines. That's what's gonna kill us.

I think it's safe to say we won't win the ACC this year, I'll take a victory over ND.

I'd rather win NCST. As long as we take care of business against NCST, i'd be just fine with a loss to ND, even a blowout.

I said this after the KSU game, half-joking and half-serious - if DP stays healthy we will win the ACC Coastal. Of course, he ended up getting hurt, but we still won at GT without him. That ACCCG is 1000x more important than winning one game, no matter if it's ND.

And as far as DP and Kirby go healthwise, i would rather have them fully healed so they can contribute during the meat of our ACC schedule, than have them play in an ultimately meaningless ND game at anything less than 100%. Rest em till UNC.

Outside the ACC, next year few will recall who in the **** won the Coastal.

BUT! A year from now, everyone in the nation will recall Miami beating Notre Dame.

Who gives a $#!T about winning the Coastal this year - really! Would it be nice? Of course. But to suggest that beating Notre Dame would somehow take secondary interest is completely upside down.

Guys, local coastal is cool.

National is much, much better.

But I understand. So many of you are pups and can't recall firsthand the good old days. Trust me - you take care of business on a national level and the regional levels tend to start taking care of themselves.

I know im thinking way ahead but what happens if we won the ACC and beat FSU? do we self impose? if we did self impose does FSU take our place even if they lost?

Im all for self imposing the bowl but man a BCS bowl I dont know.

Want both, want Notre Dame more. bigger rival, bigger game, national tv, primetime.

AND, we arent going to the ACC championship game- since we will self impose a bowl ban for this year, we wont be able to play in it anyway. Even if we could we wouldnt embarrass ACC by going, possibly winning, and then not going to a bowl game.

ND is bigger, both are important for different reasons.

Valid point. I hadn't considered that a self imposed bowl ban would include a pass on the championship game. ******* Shapiro.

are you really suggesting BCS bowl in a season where we got demolished by Ks State, needed overtime to beat Ga Tech, and turnovers to beat BC?

i think we can win both and i think we can beat fsu too they dont look that good, think we have just as much talent or more

Huh? They don't look that good? Hey, I hate 'em as much as anyone, but they are a solid, mature team and no, we don't have just as much talent as them at this point. Could we beat them? Of course, on a given day any team could beat another team but we're a very longshot to beat FSU this year. Now next year...........
