I agree 100%.

I was screaming for Emory to get the start against UVA. The kid had just beat Clemson in his first start. It would have been so beneficial for him to have gotten reps against a subpar defense where he and the wide receivers could have gelled a bit. Instead we ran a hobbled TVD back out there and struggled to win that game.

Simply no forethought on Mario's part. My best guess is that Mario was thinking he was going to bring in a portal QB for 2024 so no need to develop Emory in 2023. However, had he done so, perhaps Emory could have been better prepared for the FSU game. That could have been the difference between a win and a loss in that game.
