Just received the email for next season. I am part of an alumni group that buys 25 total. We are considering letting UM know that we will not renew until we are made aware of NOA and follow up based on it. Hate to punish UM for the NCAA's ineptitude, but we're thinking it lights a fire under UM to push for answers if significant enough.

Thoughts?

Better to drop a steamie **** bomb on Shalala's porch. She is the stink that attracts all the flies to the program. Cut the head off the snake. The troglodyke must be eliminated.

Sorry, but your group's line of thinking makes no sense to me. I'm 100% certain that UM wants to put this investigation and sanctions behind them. Penalizing UM for the action, or lack thereof, of the NCAA will not bring this matter to a close any sooner.

Sorry, ain't gonna work. UM can push all it wants, but NCAA is calling shots and working at its own schedule. Donna & Co. got no juice in this deal. So last thing administration needs now is an alumni group making threats or demands.

Stupid ******* idea.

If you have half-way been paying attention you know there's nothing more Miami can do to speed this investigation up. And since it's ongoing they can't speak about it either.

Again, stupid ******* idea.

So to help Miami, during recruiting season, a critical part of the year, the idea is for Hurricane Club supporters and Alumni to make news trying to strong arm the school?

Was this plan A, or was plan A to burn down the school in protest, with plan B being to confirm all Shapiro's allegations with photos and detailed receipts?

Any other ideas?

Anything is possible, and if some of the responders deal in the professional world(which it seems some may not), timelines can be moved with proper communication, attainment of timelines, and asking good questions and demanding answers.

Just to sit around and say there's nothing more you can do is a mentality that great organizations do not have in their DNA. Theres always something else that can be done.

I know a lot of people on these boards dont go to games, so you dont know what it feels like to fork over thousands of dollars to be led to an end of year self imposing. Enough is enough already, we're bleeding money to people who are either leading us on or getting fondled by the NCAA

Here you go. Go demand answers.

Not trying to make news

Not trying to make news

Not trying to cause a problem but you're lashing out because you're angry. I get that, but I live in Nashville & still attend games. Home & away.

The anger should be directed at the NCAA not UM. That bridge troll from UF leading the investigation is purposely dragging this out to hurt recruiting. The NCAA is a private entity so what can UM do to them? Leave the NCAA? That's about it but then where do we stand? It's a really bad situation for us & those scumbags are dragging us through every inch of the mud.

appreciate that Cash, befuddles me how little control Miami has here and how there's no timeline. Could we go through another season waiting?

**** no we can't but that **** will try her damnest (not a word I know). Some have filed bar complaints in Indiana against her for that letter but even if that pans out it'll take time.

Please explain to me why the NCAA will care that donors are pulling money from UM. Given the fact that dragging out the sanctions is like imposing sanctions and the nature of the letter to former players recently published by Barry Jackson, it's clear that the NCAA wants to hurt UM. Wouldn't pulling money from UM's coffers be congruent to the actions of the NCAA?

I see your can do attitude, but the NCAA isn't going to be strong armed by UM, and they certainly aren't going to be strong armed because some donors withhold money.

Do you seriously think Miami is not doing everything they possibly can to get the NOA as soon as possible? You think they're just sitting around and waiting? And that once they get a letter from you and your buddies, it will spur them to get off their butt and start pushing for this thing? Wow. Just...wow.

How is a bar complaint against an attorney working for the NCAA going to help move this situation to a conclusion?
