Too many factors to just throw a number out there. If the season goes down similar to last year where the Defense gives up 500 yards in multiple losses he will have no choice but to fire his buddy or get canned himself IMO.

to answer your question, I really don't think there is a number. The cloud will protect him as well as a contract until 2020. The school appears to be content with being an ACC contender and are too cheap to make a move.

I think he has to play well against ranked teams, his record against them is abysmal. I don't think he has beaten one team that has finished ranked at the end of the year, he beat UF but they were awful last year.

We SHOULD win 10. But we'll see. 11 at most. Defense and new QB will take as far as they can with their performance. Duke and Coley alone could carry us to 8 wins. Improvement in defense and good QB play could give us anywhere from 9-11 wins

But for Al to stay, think he needs to win 9.

The harsh and depressing reality of the situation is that when we win 7 or 8 games next season (oh yes, this will happen), his seat will just start to warm up. Golden's extension + the Cloud have given him plenty of leash.
