This board makes me wanna off myself lately. This is not a thread about the skeem or Qb's. Dont be that guy.

So I'm gonna make my guess and I'm gonna be conservative mentioning any true or RS Fr but theres some I feel good about. The cutoff is playing 1 NFL regular season snap. No preseason. Don't have to neccesarily stick though, just one NFL snap. For some guys that I'm really torn on I'll use 1/2, figuring that if theres 2 of them I'll get one of them right.

QB: 0 Kaaya sounds good but NFL QB is a lot to say off practice hype
RB: 2 Dukes a lock, Yearby I feel pretty good about. Gus and Gray have a shot too. Maybe I'm being optimistic but both those guy have a shot
WR:3 Coleys a lock, Dorsett will get a chance with his speed. I'm betting somebody between Berrios, Waters, Lewis, or Brady gets a look as well. Patriots will be all over Berrios
TE: 2 Walford and Dobard. I know Standish is going mostly off hype but NFL likes our TE's and kid looks good. Cleve is gonna have a nice year.
OL: 3 Flowers is a lock, Feliciano will get a look, and I'm giving KC and Darling 1/2 each, I'd bet one of those two at least makes it.

DL: 3 Chickillo is a really good bet, Muhammad is a solid bet, and my Money is on Chad Thomas too. DJack has my attention as well but hes a few years away.
LB: 3 Perryman, McCord and I have a good feeling on Owens. Maybe reaching here but I can see it happening.
DB 5 Call me crazy. Tracy is a good bet. I'd call Artie one too, somebodys gonna be interested. Honestly I think NFL teams will like Gunter, bigger DB's in lately and he still has upside. I'm giving Jamal Carter and Deon bush 1/2 each, and I'm giving 1 to Kiy Hester. That dudes the goods.

So that has me at 21. Seems like a lot, but I guess covering 5 classes thats not so crazy. Too ambitious?

A lot...... Most of the starting defense and starting offense. Remember most of these players have 2 or 3 more years so they will get even better.

I'm not going to count any freshman because I have no ******* clue. I will say that Chad Thomas has prototype size and athleticism based off his HS accomplishments.

I'm going to say this based on the guys who actually have experience playing:

Duke
Coley
Flowers
Dorsett
Howard
Perryman
Feliciano

Nobody else has shown anything that would lead me to believe they are destined for the NFL. Next on my list would be Deon Bush, as I think he has the talent and I hope he can bounce back from last year.

Not bad for being rated 8th in the ACC by the prognosticators

Deon Bush has to step it up this year. we need him to be that guy that no one wants to throw deep over. i think he makes a ton of mental mistakes. if he can bring out his talents more and cut down the mental mistakes he can be good pro IMO.

That's a fair approach. I think it's a little conservative. Here are the guys I'd add:

Artie Burns - He can do "virtually nothing" as compared to his expectations for the rest of his time here and I think he'd still get drafted before Round 4. He's a 6' 1" 200+ corner with track speed, long arms and good enough feet. He'll have double digit starts under his belt by the time he leaves here and at least 35 games played (if healthy). NFL teams don't pass up on that combination for too long.

Deon Bush - His scouting combine numbers will get him drafted one way or the other. His freshman film will make a Defensive Coordinator, DB coach or scout wonder what he can do in a downhill system. He's a guy who fits really well doing specific things. The NFL has a way of optimizing skill sets when players get fit for a system.

Jermaine Grace - This is probably my biggest projection/reach. I'm guilty of loving this guy's game since he's a Junior in HS. I think he's the type to be poorly used in this system. I also think he's a 4 year guy, which means he probably gets to the NFL around 230 pounds. I think he'll be drafted and probably the type to play better in the NFL than he looks here.

Herb Waters - Probably my second biggest projection/reach. If those times are even close to being correct, he'll be drafted. He has decent size (length), good speed, and exceptional feet. Allen Hurns was stolen in the 7th round of this year's draft. Herb Waters will be taken late by someone. His style reminds me of Emmanuel Sanders who played for Pitt and now the Broncos.

Malcolm Lewis - Nevermind my previous comments, as this is obviously my biggest reach. I'd be inconsistent with prior views if I didn't mark him down as someone who'll get a look in the NFL. Listen, I have no idea if he'll ever be back to what he could have been. That's what it depends on. I also respect the opinion of some guys on here who don't think he's very good. I think he's valuable. His game reminds me of Davone Bess. It's a position of need in the NFL because of the blitzing nature and movement to quick hitting patterns. We'll see how he does in the slot this year.

Antonio Crawford - With his potential combine numbers, I think he makes an NFL team as a rookie. I don't know if it will be as a late rounder or an UFA, but I think a team will try to mold those attributes into a slot corner.

Ladarius Gunter - 6' 2" 200 pound corners who can move decently well and have 20+ starts in a major conference tend to get looks by the NFL. May just be as an UFA, but he'll have enough tape that he gets more of a look than Jimmy Gaines (who's getting a decent look in Buffalo), for example.

Alquadin Muhammad - He's already a legit 6' 3" 250 with a great burst off the line and an unrefined skill set playing in a less than optimal skill set. He's only a Soph. If he stays healthy, he'll have 30+ games by the time he's just a Junior (eligible). He has a similar skill set to Demarcus Lawrence who was just taken 34th overall in the 2014 draft. I think this dude gets drafted in the NFL.

I've left off a few, obviously, because I'm trying to remain slightly conservative as well. If all of these guys get looks by the NFL, our two lists combine for 15 NFL players who have all have experience. There aren't any Frosh on our lists.

We shall see.

dozen or so....3 or 4 a year..mass explosion by 2017...

first rounders?? none I am seeing yet.

There are a ton of guys with NFL potential on this roster. Most of them still have a lot to prove such as Deon, Kirby, etc. Until they prove it their potential means nothing. I agree with Weown list for the most potential about guys that have actually proven it on the field. Coley, Perryman, Flowers, and Duke are the only ones that proven to be first two days picks in the NFL.

Top 5 prospects in class imo

Seniors:

Perryman
Feliciano
Dorsett
Chickillo
Gunter

Juniors:

Duke
Flowers
Howard
McCord
Deon

Sophomores

Coley
Burns
AQM
Carter
Standish

How do you leave out Chick? Last year he was projected as a 5th round pick

lol at talking about NFL potential before someone has even taken a snap. I guess I could understand in the very rare case…everyone knew Clowney would be an NFL guy. I think it's really tough to tell with this group. We will know a lot after this year.

If you are saying that a guy only has to play one snap in the NFL then you are being really conservative. If you look back at our teams from 2009, 2010, 2011 even they had around 30 players who at least played a snap in the pros and I'd like to think that our team right now is more talented than all those rosters

You'd have to establish what NFL guys mean. Gunn is an NFL guy this in the sense he'll be on a team.

Drafted narrows it down, though we'll have several drafted on athleticism alone.

If you mean difference makers at the NFL level, I'm not sure we have many right now. Flowers and Coley are probably the only guys projected that way, but the NFL is more and more about athletic ability and projection so the size/speed guys could develop more at that level. A guy like Jermaine Grace will be a better pro than college player IMHO.

When we start finding 1st round caliber linemen (both sides) it'll be amazing how good we look all of a sudden.

Those guys all certainly have the athleticism to play in the NFL, no doubt. I tried staying away from rating pure athleticism too much, because unfortunately at UM it hasn't really been a good predictor lately. But I agree with your list, especially Burns and Muhammad. I think they both have elite potential. Gunter is another good one.
